  • Our little red eyed tree frog, Trickster. EDIT: Thank you all – this is not my favorite one but wanted to see how the idea would be received. So, I appreciate all your wonderful comments! This is our pet frog, Trickster. I bought cloud paper at the scrapbook store and purchased an umbrella ornament on eBay. I then hung it from our banana stand (LOL-I know, I know :-) Then I put the frog on it and snapped the shutter. Because the umbrella was hanging truly vertical he didn’t like it and it didn’t look right so in photoshop I rotated the canvas 35 degrees and cloned out the string that would hang the umbrella on the tree. That is about it. Unfortunately, I had to shoot at a higher ISO so I got some noise. Going to re-do this tomorrow with more light – it was pretty cold here and these guys like warm weather so I couldn’t play too much today.

  • Venice Rain

I tried to capture classic muted tones in this image – hoping for the illumination of reflective rain and wetness to add that special impact.

  • Blue Monday
    by Michael J Armijo

    US$6.65–US$152.00

I took this shot in Nice, France. The original shot was non-digital, so I took a digital photo of the shot and tried a blue tint. I kind of like it this way…it’s like he’s a detective and only The Shadow Knows…for sure. :) / I originally caption titled the photo: / Pondering My Past, Present & Future / (seems like this chap could be doing that as well). Sold 1 Mounted Print to a mystery RB buyer in England.

If rain i will try to sing and the rain will be less bothering… Please try the shirt in the strong blue colour and the purple as well. In my zazzle shop you can find the same design showed on different models, colours and the backside printed with logo and instruction. Plus they print larger and their quality of printing is very good!

We found a pink girly bike on the side of that road on the way to this shoot so naturally it was added to the already huge pile of random stuff in the boot. I jumped in the pool with these crazy musicians and kept handing them props and directing them to complete various acts of underwater stupidity. James managed to stay dry by offering to operate the camera through a viewing window. I also shot some film with an underwater camera but I’ve been really slack and haven’t developed it yet. If I’m lucky, being in the hot car for this long will have screwed it up a bit and I’ll get magical surprises when I finally make some prints. models: Jase and Tom www.joobrien.com

  • This is inspired by a poem by Oliver Herford “The Elf and the Dormouse” Watercolour Pencils UNDER a toadstool crept a wee Elf, / Out of the rain to shelter himself. / / Under the toadstool, sound asleep, / Sat a big Dormouse all in a heap. / / Trembled the wee Elf, frightened and yet 5 / Fearing to fly away lest he get wet. / / To the next shelter—maybe a mile! / Sudden the wee Elf smiled a wee smile. / / Tugged till the toadstool toppled in two. / Holding it over him, gaily he flew. 10 / / Soon he was safe home, dry as could be. / Soon woke the Dormouse—”Good gracious me! / / “Where is my toadstool?” loud he lamented. / —And that’s how umbrellas first were invented Many Many Thanks to Dave- BLYTHART / Who tracked down the poem for me…....... / I did this way back at college for my Children’s Illustration course. / Watercolour/Ink on Watercolour Paper THIS WORK WAS FEATURED IN THE ARTDICTIVE ONLINE MAGAZINE / 17th of Feb 2009 WITH THANKS xxxxx / FEATURED IN THE INSPIRED ART GROUP April 2009 with thanks xxxx / FEATURED IN SISTERHOOD May 2009 with thanks xxxxx / SECOND PLACE IN FINE ART INFLUENCED BY LITERATURE- POETRY CHALLENGE MAY 2009 Thank you to Rouble and Zombie (RUST) for recommending this work in the / I RECOMMEND GROUP 2008 / Visit RUST here: / RUST GALLERY Here is the Laminated Print version- also available with black bordering (a great way to make a saving by framing it yourself) / Or let Redbbble do the hard work (a choice of quality frames in a variety of colors available- this is walnut). This stencil was created in early 2008 inspired by fashion photography and damp cold London. Recently cut stencil with one layer from an older stencil of a zebra in pink on her dress, with hand drawn cobbled stones. The canvas itself is 3 times in length this is just a mere snap shot of the original piece. This piece is 1 of 3, utilising the same same stencil and composition of works I’ve posted on Red Bubble at the moment. The other is ‘snow and umbrella’ and ‘rain birds’
