Created in response to a challenge. Normally when one is creating a layered fractal, you change the OCA (outside coloring algorithm) to create variations in texture and color. For this piece, all of the OCAs are the same (Triangle Inequality Average) and I changed the formula on each layer to create the texture. Created in UltraFractal 3.

Made in UltraFractal 5. I rendered this as a .psd file so I could use layer styles in Photoshop CS to give it some depth. I also used the Flaming Pear Flood filter for the water because it looks better than the effect that UF has.

UltraFractal5 This was another image submitted for Benoit 2009, well it was a good try LOL !!! / Formula used for the main composition is barnsley kpk, with tons of blending, textures and masking. / I really wanted an industrial grunge look in this piece to describe the depth of working machines – making sunlight. Hot and rusted furnace room, all piped up with many levels – shooting sun rays to the top !!!
