  • Graphite & Colour Pencil She’ll never believe she’s beautiful… (c) REO 2007

  • Feces, is a waste product from an animal’s digestive tract expelled through the anus during defecation. / After an animal has digested material, the remains of it is excreted from its body as waste. Though it is lower in energy than the food it came from, feces may still contain a large amount of energy. This means that of all food eaten, a significant amount of energy remains for the decomposers of ecosystems. Many organisms feed on feces, from bacteria to fungi to insects such as dung beetles, which can sense odors from long distances / Feces are also an important as a signal. / (Wikipedia.org)

  • This painting was created to coincide with the cd release of one of the greatest local bands that I have ever listened to. They also happen to be close friends of mine as well. They go by the name of Amplexus. Why not head over to their spot / myspace.com/amplexusrock / and give a listen while taking in the painting? The details: / 30×24 (?) inch stretched canvas, slathered with 4 layers of acrylic paint (because at that moment I wasn’t sure on what I was making) and finished off with some acrylic markers. Total time beginning to end was 11 hours over a 3 day span. The main idea was inspired directly by their song “Savage Henry” Here are the lyrics (sorry for the long comment) I will strike down with great vengeance and furious anger / Those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers / And you walk free blood on your hands / The night hides you now but a red sun will rise / I knew Id find you, cower and pray / Here is the bargain: my soul for your head And theres no turning back / Dont turn away, you know theres no escape / Now im taking my time with you oh so carefully / Justice fails us all, your sentence is now! / What youve done couldnt go without punishment. / The sun beating down. This will be easier now / Strike down with no regret, tears mix with beading sweat / My footsteps seem distant but sure there is no returning / The innocent they call when no ones listening / The innocent they call me / You poison our existence and my hands are the cure / Im seeking retribution, this violence to you is called for

  • This is the third piece I’ve polished off in my monsters chasing after kid series. I’ve decided to go ahead and compile them into a book and this one actually comes somewhere near the end. (I hate doing things in order) My favorite thing about this one? The globs of “stuff” flying out of the big green guys mouth. I have no idea what it is, but it looks fairly disgusting.

  • I’m not quite sure what he is.. but he’s creepy looking.

  • - What do you think of him, eh? / - I don’t know, he definitely doesn’t belong with us…. / - Maybe he is not even a SWAN CHICK at all… just an ugly duckling!! (Inspired by H.C. Andersen…) Photo taken in Wissel Zoo, Epe, Holland.

  • There is more character in the things that are overlooked. These spaces are raw and real. There is truth. You see flaws. You see freckles. You see beauty. You see affliction. You see anguish. You see life at its complexities. No masks. No barriers. You see integrity.

  • ACRYLIC ART CALENDARS CARDS POETRY PHOTOGRAPHY – ANIMALS PHOTOGRAPHY -CANDID SHOTS PHOTOGRAPHY – CATS AND DOGS / CATS / DOGS PHOTOGRAPHY – CONTEMPORARY WORK PHOTOGRAPHY – FLOWERS PHOTOGRAPHY – INSECTS PHOTOGRAPHY – TRADITIONALLY TURKISH PHOTOGRAPHY – TREE AND TREE PARTS T-SHİRTS —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-- / CATS ARE US / CHLOE / DIBLEY / KAR / MINTY / LINFORD / “LISA“ / “OLLIE“ / “OTHERS“ DOGS ARE US / BELA / CLYDE -ROTTWEILER PUP / LUCKY / MOLLIE -ROTTWEILER PUP / ROTTWEILER PUPS – THE FIRST FOUR WEEKS / ROTTWEILER PUPS – FOUR WEEKS AND ON / ROTTWEILER PUPS – EIGHT WEEKS AND COUNTING / TROY / “OTHERS“ I have known Lucky since he was a pup as he used to belong to a neighbour. His name is a bit inappropriate really : his first owners took him from the street where he had been abandoned and whist with them chased a cat (sadly encouraged to do so) and ended up under a car. He went into the forest into hiding and led to a ‘search party’ to find him. Sadly his owner had to return to the UK and despite trying to rehome him were unable to do so. Fortunately (for Lucky) we were moving (with our four cats) to a detatched home and we adopted him. / He has scars on his body and legs, broken teeth and a perpetual ‘life does me no favours’ type of look. He chases cats, runs from pups, tolerates life and barks and snaps at anything that buzzes (he has constant bites and stings as a result). / He is a man of routine, has no social decorum and produces abundant amountsof pet nectar. He constantly needs a bath and hates water: even refuses to toilet or go for a walk if there is a hint of rain. / Given choice he would stay in ‘bed’ 24/7 – probably read a cheap tabloid newspaper – headlines, page 3 and sport. / In addition to the above he is a Heinx 47. Obviously boxer, a hint of mastiff and a suggestion of Rhodesian Ridgeback. LUCKY / A mixed-breed dog, also called a mutt, mongrel, tyke, cur, bitzer, feist or random-bred dog, is a dog that has characteristics of two or more types of breeds, or is a descendant of feral or pariah dog populations. The term “mixed-breed” is a misnomer, as it does not indicate the offspring of dogs of known or pure breeding. This term (along with the term purebred dog) stems from a fundamental misunderstanding of genetics and misinterpretation of Darwinian theory. In contrast to mixed-breed, the term crossbreed refers to puppies produced by the intentional breeding of dogs of two different known purebred dog breeds. The term “mutt” or mixed-breed generally refers to a dog of unknown descent. Dogs interbreed freely, except where extreme variations in size exist, so mixed-breed dogs vary in size, shape, and color, making them hard to classify physically.

  • I have temporarily called this little terrier type bitch Fea (Ugly in Spanish!) I found her abandoned today whilst riding by Torremendo lake, cowering in a bush. My friend had to lead my horse back and I carried Fea for half an hour back to the yard! I took her to the vets but she is not microchipped. She is covered in fleas and ticks! (How lovely is that!) She is about 12-18 months and I hope she is not pregnant! She has an overshot bottom jaw, but seems sweet natured. I have rung some of the animal chartities but they are full to bursting and can’t take her….. So against my better judgement of I really don’t need another animal as I can’t afford one, she maybe staying! One animal charity did say they maybe able to help with some of the intitial vacination costs and speying, so I will have to see. Anyway I bought her a little pink collar and some food, the vet cut some mud clumps off around her face, sprayed her with Frontline to get rid of the wildlife she is housing in her fur and she is currently sleeping on my terrace, exhausted! As is straight from the camera Nikon D40 18-55mm on close up setting.

  • “Well 3 days ago I was all alone, scared, hungry, and cold, living by a lake. Then this big black dog came upto me and found me, followed by three humans sitting on big animals I had never seen before. I was terrified and cowered down. One of the humans, a crazy lady, picked me up. I struggled when she took me near one of those big animals, so she carried me a little distance away. I was so snug in her arms next to her warm fleece. She carried me for ages I was so tired I just snuggled into her. After a long walk she put me in this room with shavings on the floor. Another human gave me some ham sandwich, it tasted so good. Not long after I was put in a car…. I kept trying to sit on the crazy lady’s lap! She took me to a shop where I saw another lady who ran this thing over my body, I heard them say I didn’t have a microchip. Well the other lady then got a spray and smothered me in this stuff and picked ticks out of my ear. The crazy lady bought a collar for me then drove me to a little house where another little black and tan dog was. He scared me and I growled at him a few times. The crazy lady left me in the garden and I went to sleep after having a little dinner. Well after having another trip to someone they call a vet who gave me a jab, I have now been here 3 days. This crazy lady says she is now my Mummy and there is also a smaller human like her who is my sister she says. I like the other dog too, he doesn’t bother me. Apparently I will meet my new Daddy tonight. I hope he likes me. As you can see it hasn’t taken me long to get comfortable!!! Oh and I have been ever such a good girl. I don’t pee or poo in the house. I don’t chew anything. I just love my new family and they love me.”

  • I was going kayaking this morning until I saw what had decided to make itself at home in it! I guess mama found that the peace and quiet inside my kayak was the perfect place to make her nest. This is a face that only a mother could love! / I painted my deck instead today!

  • this is one of the regulars on canop ponds near to where i live

  • Came across this gathering near a sheep carcase near Grenfell NSW Australia. I think the crows are a little worried about the odd one out, an Australian Wedge Tailed Eagle.
