For me this image sends my mind way out of my body. Who has sat in that chair? Who was the last person to sit in it? Who was the first person to sit in it? What are they doing right now? What kind of life do they lead, are they married, do they have kids, have they written a book, or painted a painting….

The central alleyway courtyard between the two main wings of the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy. This was two photos which I merged together. A mini-panorama, as it were.

A panoramic view of Florence, Italy taken from Piazzelle Michelangelo, which stands on the hillside overlooking the Arno river and the entire city. You can see il Duomo in the center of the photo, Ponte Vecchio to the left over the Arno. The Uffizi Gallery is just to the right of Ponte Vecchio. This was built from four sequential photos. This is only a portion of the full panoramic view.
