Italain marble sculptures hidden away in York House gardens in Twickenham
Home of English Rugby at sunset
Lego recreation of Ian Bradshaw’s 1974 photograph of streaker Michael O’Brien at Twickenham during the England-France rugby match.
Taken from Richmond Park towards Twickenham at about 20h30. I really like the shafts of light between the clouds, and couldn’t resist the trees framing the shot. All my photography is “first time stuff” at the moment, so helpul hints and comments will be greatly appreciated.
The Scrum: England V Argentian 14th Nov 2009. England playing for the first time ever in a purple strip. It was a blustery day with high kicking rugby. England and Argentina played their hearts out, but England came out the winners. Johnny Wilkinson played a blinder of a game, but he missed three penalty shots. Argintina played very well and it seemed at times they were about to take the lead by scoring a try. However, England held on and eventually won the scrappy match. England were playing for the first time ever in a purple strip. / As usual, I enjoyed really the occasion, cheering for England doesn’t come naturally to a Scotsman, but I was the guest of a good English friend:-) We had good company on the way to the game, a meal in the Turk’s Head Pub and some great conversation about the match on the way back. Captured with a Nikon D700 and 70-300mm Sigma Lense.
