Harmony chased by melody; we all gather ‘round. With each strum of the strings another of us is pulled in. Soon together we all sing, each adding our own hue to what is now, our song. ~This piece has a very personal significance to me. Although I made sure it didn’t have a holiday feel to it, it was actually inspired by my first Christmas back in Minnesota in 2005 (after splitting with my ex-husband.) My cousin had spent a significant amount of time doing missions work in Africa and she was back for the first time in years as well. My normally very healthy Grandma had developed a staph infection and had been put in a nursing home for about 5 months but they let her out for a few hours on Christmas day. We were all sitting around my parents house Christmas night and my father and uncle pulled out there guitars and led us all in Christmas carols. It was so special, it really was one of those moments where I knew everything would be okay again.

The Twelve Apostles, Great Ocean Road, Victoria, Australia Camera: Canon EOS 400D
This picture was taken late afternoon on our recent trip down the Great Ocean Road. The sky was really quite washed out and boring. The colouring was added to add some drama to the magnificent spectacle of the last remaining standing rocks.
This is another of view of the “TheTwelve Apostles”, taken in late afternoon in March 2008. Although called the Twelve Apostles there are infact now only 8 remaining. This is due to the constant erosion by the wind, rain and sea.
The mighty Twelve Apostles are world-recognised icons of the Great Ocean Road. These giant rock stacks soar from the swirling waters of the Southern Ocean and are a central feature of the spectacular Port Campbell National Park that extends from Princetown to Peterborough. / The dramatic and imposing limestone cliffs that are the backdrop to the Apostles tower up to 70 metres, while the tallest of the rock stacks is around 45 metres high. / The Apostles had their beginnings up to 20 million years ago with the forces of nature attacking the soft limestone of the Port Campbell cliffs. Twelve Apostles on the Great Ocean Road
This collection of Dice graphics, are one of those haunting images that I usually get and I do not rest until I do them. It had been on my mind for few weeks and four days ago, everywhere I looked I saw dices !!! then suddenly I got off at the wrong stop from the bus and found myself in front of the windows of Lord and Taylor (a Department Store in NYC). A company that I have been dreaming of working for this past month; as a fashion designer. What did I see in the windows? Giant Dices… Loud and Clear. I said to myself… this is a Lucky day and I just needed to do these. / Enjoy

Location Originally known as the Sow & Piglets, the 12 Apostles is a collection of limestone sea stacks on the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia. There are currently only eight Apostles remaining with the last stack collapsing in July 2005. Maybe in 50 years this scene will look dramatically different? The Shoot We stopped here about an hour before sunset and to my disappointment the sky was cloudless. This encouraged me to use a tobacco filter to try to add some interest to the sky. Many images were captured while the sun set with this one being my favourite of the shoot. Equipment & Shoot Details Camera Body: Canon 50D / Lens: Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM / Number of exposures: 3 / Exposure length(s): 1/8, 1/30, 1/125 / ISO Speed: ISO 100 / F-stop: f8 / Focal Length: 11mm / Filter: Cokin P154 (Tobacco Graduated filter)

Late afternoon on the Great Ocean road overlooking the Twelve Apostles, Take in the sea air, immerse yourself in the moment. Breathe! / Why it’s almost possible to shut out those noisy bloody backpackers.
The 12 Apostles are gradually disappearing and now only 8 remain. They are on the South Coastline of Australia in Victoria. The Twelve Apostles were formed by erosion of the original coastline. The constant action of the sea on the limestone slowly wore down the rocky cliff, gradually leaving individual rocks. The cliff is still being eroded at a rate of about 2cm each year, and in the future is likely to form more ‘Apostles’ from the other rocky headlands that line the Victorian coastline. Just thought you might like some information on these amazing structures.
