! Featured on the RedBubble homepage on Monday, 9th February, 2009 ! / Featured in the group “Italy and all Italian things”. / Thank you so much!!! We took a trip to Tuscany in October 2006 and stayed for one night in a most beautiful place called San Giminiano. I got up really early in the morning to find the whole landscape beginning to glow in the morning light. Swathes of mist rested in the vales of this beautitul landscape. “Tuscan Dawn” was also taken (a little earlier) on this morning. It was one of those times when dragging yourself out of bed before dawn was well, well worth it! This work is absolutely “as is” work. No manipulation at all, just what we saw! /

HDR image of a Steinway Piano at a friends’ home. She’s quite an accomplished artist herself, she painted the images behind the piano in Tuscany Italy. I’m looking for a good title for this image, this piano hasn’t been played in years. This is a re-post of my Silent Night image, this one without the black border. I had taken this to work one day, matted and framed and sold three copies of it that day ….. Taken with Nikon D200 and Tokina 12-24mm lens. My art with 1000+ views / / Have a look art this one as well, can you see the four ghosts in this shot? /
I took this picture a couple of years ago at the beach of Marina di Grosseto, Tuscany, Italy. / This is a fine example I think of how a fisheye lens can completely change the feeling of an ordinary scene. The subject is simply some surf on the seashore, captured from a distance of not more than a foot. / The original picture is a Fuji Velvia 50 Iso medium format slide. Hope you enjoy it, thanks for dropping by. Paolo

A crumbling wall in Tuscany. with a decaying wooden window.
We were in Tuscany a couple years ago and visited a place called San Giminiano. What a magical spot! I got up veeeery early in the morning and was fortunate enough to be in the middle of this exceptionally peaceful morning. The street lights were still on in the surrounding vales and the horizon was slowly paling just before sunrise. Swathes of mist mellowed the atmosphere. This shot has not been touched up in any way, it is straight from my Pentax istD. /

So typical of small Tuscan villages, the laundry drying on the line was something I just had to try to capture in watercolor when I returned home.
