Well this is my latest, originally the piece was purple but i changed it with a warm filter also i punched out the contrast. (which is something Im planning to do from now on, to make pieces stand out more!)

Shes so sad…this piece took me ages to complete and has gone through sooo many changes!!! only now am i happy with it…the concept had completely changed numerous times as i was working on it, and now I felt more comfortable with a tight closed shot…

Whew… it’s now 2:00 a.m. and I’m done with this. Including make-up and taking the photo of myself, photoshop, etc 4 1/2 hours of work. I felt the need to make something. I haven’t made a single new piece of art since September and I felt out of touch with myself (yeah everything so far that I’ve poster was “older” work). This is pretty much the vision I had, not quite what I wanted, but my artwork usually never ends up exactly as I had wanted it. I love it regardless. I originally wanted hot pink hair but couldn’t find the right wig that I own that would work for that. This character is kinda like the controller of time, the god Chronos or also known as “Pluto” the god of death and time. Living at the end of time, if you make it angry it’ll warp you into another dimension lol.
/ This painting, is inspired by Turner’s painting of a slave ship in the midst of a typhoon, which he called a “Typhon”...Turner captured the horror of the event and terrifying grandeur of nature through hot, churning color and light that merge sea and sky. The critic John Ruskin, the first owner of Slave Ship, wrote, “If I were reduced to rest Turner’s immortality upon any single work, I should choose this.” / I chose to create an abstract work evoking the turmoil of the storm, not so much stressing the wind and the waves, but instead ferocity and power portrayed by the intense shock of deep red amid the more serene blues... “Aloft all hands, strike the top-masts and belay; / Yon angry setting sun and fierce-edged clouds / Declare the Typhon’s coming. / Before it sweeps your decks, throw overboard / The dead and dying – ne’er heed their chains / Hope, Hope, fallacious Hope! / Where is thy market now?”..J.M.W. Harrison Lake…..Harrison BC Canada
This was taken up at the Ornamental Gardens in Summerland BC, shortly prior to my run-in with the sleeping bears. I was sad to cut my photo taking short, as the colours were absolutely crazy beautiful! This is a very busy image…...and it breaks all the rules…..but what the heck :)

Harbour on Salt Spring Island, BC Canada….captured May 2008.
/ I was down at Okanagan beach this afternoon taking some photographs when I noticed the reflection of some tree tops with the light shining through them in this puddle. Thought it looked almost like the leaves in the puddle were falling onto the trees…..seemed kind of magical to me :)
