I love this shot because like everywhere in India, there’s always faces at every turn.. and I love the faces in this shot, from the guys at the front, to the bystanders in the shadows..

All that’s required of the visitor is that he remove his shoes and cover his head.

    This man was sitting in a dark area of a bazaar in SW Turkey, selling tobacco (by the sack load). The afternoon sun just caught the side of his face and I wanted to photograph him – I indicated by gestures that I wanted to take his photo and he indicated assent, but I have no idea what he was really thinking when I took it.
