When I lived in Bangkok, even though I had a car, one of my favourite ways of getting around was by Tuk Tuk. Three wheeled machines that defy all laws of physics, and the road. This image was taken with a very wide lens as we sped through traffic to our destination. Lot’s of fun :<)
The Japanese delight in calling a Tuk Tuk a ‘Tuku Tuku’. This was not the easiest shot to get as a Tuk Tuk sped past the walls of the Grand Palace in Bangkok.
A tropical downpour, yellow lines on the road and passing traffic caught my attention. I waited and waited for a Tuk Tuk to fly past and, sure enough, one with a wardrobe strapped to the back obliged. Hope you like it.

This wasn’t a badly composed shot to begin with actually.. the tuk-tuk was nicely focussed and there was some decent blur in the background. However I wanted to try and show what you feel like after half an hour or so in a tuk-tuk in Bangkok traffic. It’s like someone suddenly throws a vacuum cleaner bag into a fan that’s pointing at you.
With a good luck garland on it’s handlebars, all is under control. If you’ve ever been to Bangkok, you’ll know that Tuk Tuk’s often seem out of control :<)

Tuk Tuks are three wheeled taxis that are over the place here. They are cheap, fun to ride in, and the drivers are fearless to the point of insanity. Which makes them all that much more fun.

A colorlicious Thailand tuk-tuk. I’ve always loved those things…one day I’ll have to export one out of Thailand to drive around with. /
Taken along the main drag at Patong Beach in Phuket. Patong is a place you go to NOT relax! A shopping, drinking and island hopping paradise! I was swept away by Patong and know that I will be back again one day soon! / Tuk Tuk’s in Patong differ from the Tuk Tuk’s in Bangkok too!

Dumai, Indonesia this bicycle taxi driver was our first interesting encounter in indonesia. he kept trying to play the “I’m a good muslim, I’m religious so you should trust me card” with us, and then proceeded to drop us off at a commissioned location for foreigners, not even close to where we wanted to go, and demanded a fare MUCH higher than what we negotiated the thumbs up and gummy smile can be decieving -Canon EOS Rebel XT, 18-55mm lens
