Open for interpretation – Challenge yourself to thought processes behind this one – the frogs were a nice sugar hit after a 10 km hike around Uluru! Much like the Honey ant these frogs are indicative to a warm semi arid desert. Prized for thier sweet flesh and high antioxidant values. They are not easy to find but due to a prolonged spate of hot weather in the central region of australia they were seen in limited numbers migrating to a more accomodating region assisted by whats known as a ‘homosapien’. They generally roam in ‘packs’ and easily spotted by thier bright colouring. They are vulnerable due to this however and tend to be easy pickings for most two legged species. They have been known to be attacked by armies of ants and flies which tend to regard them as a delicacy providing much needed nectar for long term survival. / They are known as ‘froggis nectaris colouris’ and have only recently been discovered in the last ten years. :P
Tucker was from a litter that was found in a bag dumped in a ditch and someone stopped and saved them. He was brought home by my son as a small pup. The girl that had him couldn’t keep him at the apartment. He has a loving family here. Tucker tucks into the grub on a windy day. This is the man of the house. Captured with E-500, (All settings Auto: Lazy me), with Olympus 140-600 lens @ 600. Photographed through my back window.
Tucker loves to dig and always has. I once needed to dig around a stump so I could cut it off at ground level, I started digging and Tucker was immediately interested, he dug until he had uncovered most of the stump. It took him two days but he loved every minute of it. Now when I can’t find him the first place I go look is at a nearby foxes den, I often arrive to see only a Tucker tail sticking out of the den.
A very old Aussie saying. My dad always used to say it along with many others.
Tucker follows me as I ride up the hill in the snow on my ATV Nikon D40X Nikon 300mmVR lens.
Just you and you alone. This is a photograph of the world’s most romantic white’s tree frog. Vibrant colors pull you in as he patiently awaits his kiss.
This is my big guy Tucker. He’s an Occiecat or part Occie and he’s a big mushpot. He doesn’t like me to touch him ‘cause I’m apparently the alpha cat in the house so he’s kinda in awe of me. Funny though… sometimes he lets me massage his belly. Click once on image to enlarge. / / / /

On my way to my flat I came across this rose all alone still maintaining a nice bloom during our chilly fall season.

And take it all in. Featured in the “Animal Kingdom” group, September 2008. Thank you!
Here is Tucker, my best bud, on his favorite ride, the front of the ATV. He dances all over this pad on the front of the ATV while we are riding, I had to stop and make him look at me to take this one. It is so hot and humid in the summer here that I have to give Tucker a very close hair cut or he gets too hot. Here he is with his new hair do. - Winter Hair do!
My best bud, a Welsh Terrier or as we label him our Welsh Terror
Echidna had to share his tucker with one of his neighbours, much to his disapproval!! He didn’t want to share and flashed his spines and covered his food to say so. But Magpie came over just as soon as the human carer left a dish of food and wasn’t at all fussed by the spines or the fact that most of the dish got covered as soon as he had one go at trying to duck in to nick something. / I took heaps of photos, all showing the maggie either getting nudged away or the echidna shuffling around in circles over his dish (and eating at the same time… maybe its a girl cos of the great multitasking!!). Eventually, the maggie got a bit. I reckon the echidna must have been getting full… and we’re all a bit slower when we’re full up!! The maggie did a bit of a happy dance before flying off to the nest!! I reckon they were both friends… just having a game at lunchtime! Taken at Urimburra, Victor Harbor, South Australia… home of happy native animals, mostly rescued and definitely much loved.

Tucker is our first mule foal by our new jack, Five Hills Bocephus. His dam is my registered Missouri Foxtrotter mare, Gunner’s Fancy Yankee. Fancy is by Gunner’s Pride. There’s nothing like a set of long ears gracing the pasture in early spring.
These are a series of 4 canvas pieces that depict bush tucker. I have tried every one except the grubs..
