Personal collection. Oil on canvas. This didn’t end up saying what was intended. I started with an old black and white depression era photo and intended to make a statement about how unprepared we all are for what faces us environmentally, economically, and politically. Unfortunately, it ended up just being an interesting picture. I was disappointed.

I hope you can see the face of the old man, slightly right of center, with the wide mouth, (can almost see his few remaining teeth)bulbous nose and masses of hair. This has not been manipulated; except by nature!

This image was taken at Bonazzavile our local tourist attraction. Its a recreated old town with a post office,bank, barbershop, train depot. Once or twice a year people dress up in period costumes and play the part. This image was taken at the train depot. It was sitting on a flatbed trailer.
