  • A very old analouge negative taken on Boxing Day some twenty odd years ago. This girl was living with my younger sister in Darlinghurst in Sydney at the time and yes there were drugs involved. Neither of them survived the experience. All I have left is some very old photo’s and my memories. To death us do drug. Was that a challenge, a motto or a promise. I could never work it out.

  • I was coming home yesterday from an appointment downtown, / and happened to look over and see this place. It was completely / abandoned, along with garages, a barn and cars. Didn’t go in, (yet..heh) but I got a few good shots from the front. I added the flood..(to go with the title.) / / CS3/Corel/handheld/Samsung/HDR / I can’t even begin to list all of the things I did to this. / One filter conversion to the next applying and painting certain areas with the saturation brush, then repeating the process + / overlays & more fine tuning! Thanks for checking it out. :) / / / Special thanks to Kevin Kroeker for being a major inspiration with HDR. You can check out some of his truly amazing HDR work here: click me!

  • The idea for this picture came from the Chesstown project I am doodling on every now and then. / It was first sketched with pencil and paper, and then scanned. / I played around with this design for days before I was satisfied. / And I didn’t really get there before I decided to use the sketch of an old ship I did long time ago. The sketch was applied without further refinement (read: inking ore /and color), so it’s just the old sketch really. / I used both Photoshop and Illustrator to get what I was after here on this one. / The motive has been for sale as posters and cards for a while, and now I introduce the tee. Go wild…....POS

  • Top Ten in the “Clouds – Puffy Clouds” challenge in You Big SOFTY group October 21, 2009. / Featured in The Woman Photographer, 2 Per 24hrs, group February 27, 2009. / Placed in Top Ten in _ The Woman Photographer, 2 Per 24hrs, group_ ’s “Hurricane” Challenge February 27, 2009. / Placed in Top Ten in Mornings & Evenings _Sunbeams & Storms challenge “Birds Flying Under A Storm” October 28, 2008. One of the creepiest sunsets we’ve ever seen here … neighbors still talk about it. It started out an eerie yellow and changed the look of the world. By the time I shot this particular image, the clouds and sky had lost the sickly yellow and were a more familiar orange. Clouds and storm came in from the east which is unusual for this area … this shot was taken facing due south. I was using the Nikon D40x with the 18-135mm lens. Shot April 12, 2008 in Montgomery County, Maryland. Obsidian Dawn

  • FEATURED IN TIGER TIGER / FEATURED IN THE SCAVENGER HUNT Two Amur Tigers at the Oregon Zoo. They were keeping an eye on me, just in case! / They were sleeping when I arrived and then all their movements were done in unison. / As is Nikon D40 x

  • for the Big Trouble in Little China fans, the logo on the side of Jack Burton’s semi! “When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol’ Jack Burton always says at a time like that: “Have ya paid your dues, Jack?” “Yessir, the check is in the mail.”

  • Another work from a series called “Divorce”.

  • Jo and ‘Zed’All images from this series here

  • ~ Ken Kesey

  • Origianly a Pencil drawing on canson paper. The warped angel was a photoshop creation. Inspired by the movie “Angels and Devils”! Also inspired by my previous work “Bridge Over Troubled Water”!! / I thought that work needed a warped angel hovering above the troubled waters!! / The bottom line is it’s just such fun to play around with images!! / / featured in Core [C.O.R.E] / featured in “Exceptional Ekphrasis”

  • Featured on RedBubble’s Featured page: 07-09-09 / Featured on RedBubble’s Front Page Buyer’s Booth: 07-20-09 / Featured on RedBubble’s Front Page: 07-21-09 / —-—-—-—-—-—-—- “In your life, you get so High, / there’s nowhere left to go but down. / Don’t believe, / That noone cares, / ‘Cause we’re here waiting for you, baby.” – Sloan This is for a friend of mine, Belic. I think ever since him and I met and started talking, I always thought to myself either “Dude, this guy would be an awesome dad” or “I want to be like him when I grow up.” He’s got a good heart, and the Universe often seems to just be after him… and that sucks. Tryin to keep a brotha DOWN! But yes. I’d have his back if he needed help, cause a big guy with a big heart who gets flooded with a ton of crap, needs a break every now and again with the help of his friends. More recently, he’s done something that really only further inspired me, and amplified my want to do this picture, as it felt so appropriate. Belic has amazing stregnth and determination when it comes to helping others, who’s not afraid to be himself or do what he thinks is right no matter how hard it is for him. Ya sounds a little cheesy, but ya know what? I more than respect that about him, I frickn love that about him. I look up to him in that aspect. :) I’ve had this idea stuck in my head for months, of Belic about to beat the shit out of a great white shark with dynamite and a pic axe. It’s a metaphor, to where the pic-axe represents effort, and the shark represents troubles. The dynamite doesn’t represent anything, it’s just dynamite to blow shit up. Pushed this thing out as soon as my schedule freed up, and got it done pretty quick. I experimented with a few things here, like the style for one. It’s a bit on the comic/illustrative side with some exaggerated lines. I was going for a little bit of dynamics and I tried to limit my colors, and I was also trying to work within a perfect-square composition. This entire style was inspired by an awesome artist, named Jared Moratis (Pop Monkey)... It’s very ‘skater-ish’ with the almost obnoxiously saturated colors and outlines. Love the style. Artfulreggie and IG_Kirk helped me out with this one with brainstorming. :)

  • Fictional digital painting made with Photoshop. / Full view please Dear little doll series… / POLLY / EUGENIA / MUFFIE / VALERIE / TIFFANY Since this is my first attemp to paint digitaly I thought to share with you that I’m feelng a little weird … huh… correction: I’m feeling very weird. For accuracy, I feel like one of my characters – my eyes are wide open (out of anticipation for what will happen next); my brows draw together and my mouth is stretch horizontally (laughs). It’s like the fist time I did upload my first painting, excactly one year back. It’s a very big suprise to me. I’d never thought that I will ever paint digitally – really, it just came suddenly before 2 … I don’t quite remember exact maybe 3 nights. Anyway, I felt that I need a “break” from my beloved brushes, paints and canvases. The most imporant, I want to clear my mind a bit from the Halloween series calendar cause I’d hated to make something that it won’t be inspired and absolute authentic from me. So it may be ready far long after Halloween… laughs… maybe it will be ready in Christmas time xxx Back to that night ➪ Of course I ended up to make my office like a bombed place with charcoals, pastels… Water and ink running below my keyboard and on the floor… just imagine. / / The good from all this destruction is a little face I did, a totally scarp face but I did love it from the first moment ♥ (and it looks like me too :) So much that I couldn’t leave it in the mess that was! Here you can see it: / ☯ So concluding, all the dollies of this series are based in this little one scrap face, always in the same position but each one of them has a different personality. All the names of the dollies are names from existing famous dolls. Ok I will stop talking now, / I’m leaving you view my work and I really hope you like it. • This image is a tribute to friendship, and is dedicated to my closest friend, Sarah Matthews, who has been my bridge whenever I have needed one, – as I hope I have been for her. / I wanted to try and create an image that had the silvery moonlit essence of this wonderful song. I hope that I have succeeded. Featured in.. / Inspired Art / Jen&Erics Eyes / Top Ten Winner in the Friendship Challenge – Inspired Art / Dimensions —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / Bridge Over Troubled Water (Eva Cassidy singing) When you’re weary, feeling small / When tears are in your eyes, I will dry them all; / I’m on your side. When times get rough / And friends just can’t be found, / Like a bridge over troubled water / I will lay me down / When you’re down and out, / When you’re on the street, / When evening falls so hard / I will comfort you. / I’ll take your part. / When darkness comes / Friends just can’t be found / Like a bridge over troubled water / I will lay me down. / Sail on silvergirl / Sail on by. / Your time has come to shine. / All your dreams are on their way. / See how they shine. / Oh,If you need a friend / When I’m standing right behind / Like a bridge over troubled water. / I will lay me down / Like a bridge over troubled water / I will lay me down / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- I created this in photoshop CS4 in multiple layers. The foreground is from my own stock, and the moon and beams were painted in. To make the moonbeams see my tutorial / MCN/C62QX_UKE48_LEXP6 I am indebted to the following artists for their generosity with their stock… / Enchanted Forest / Woman sitting / Woman standing
