I found this shot I took back in April of ‘07 in the Texas hill country. We had a late ice storm and this beautiful thistle looked almost preserved.

2 of the many flowers on the tree have fallen together….......to spend their last days slowly losing their lustre and colour…......here for a brief time….....we all need to appreciate beauty when it is here, which is now….......

A lady here in our small town has a passion for giant sunflowers so her husband grew her a whole garden of them. Wasn’t that sweet? I didn’t catch them until they were almost gone – next year I’ll keep a better watch out for them. Taken in Munday, Texas.

The pods of last year’s Yucca blooms. In the spring the prairie in Knox County, Texas is dotted with these beautiful white blooms – they cause my anticipation of Spring to rise.

July 1st was Canada Day and many cellebrations in Toronto were cancelled because of a city strike so my friends who work at the Legion invited me and whomever to a party there – so we were able to take Shelby my friends little girl for a couple of hours then we had to take her home and went back to enjoy the party – this is a sign at the bar which I think says it all / Taken with the Fuji with the flash – as is / focal 10.4mm / exposure 1/60 / aperture f/4.0 / ISO 400
