We used to run home after school every day to watch Speed Racer on TV, back in the 60’s. Seems like an eternity ago. I saw the movie. Not quite the same thing, but Trixie was still Trixie.
Was going to color it in photoshop but I am not very good at it…

Paul and Peter are visiting her from Amsterdam, / two very sexy salt and pepper shakers who both have / taken an interest in her. They are twin brothers and Trixie / does not want to break their lovely hearts or damage / their dream to find a fine woman like her. If you know of any salt / and pepper shakers that resemble Trixie, please b-mail irishmolly @redbubble.

I have a certain thing about old trailers and trailer park life. I don’t know why I never lived in one until I was 34 years old. But for whatever reason they hold a certain, charm, even dignity and a weird sort of comfort. The pink trailer is the finest in the park. The Trixie sisters, always meet to discuss their evening plans, and maybe just a bit of gossip. It is the best of the park life, just outside that Pink 1958 Stanley. About the original: / Title: The Pink Trailer Trixie Sisters / size: 9×12 / Media: color pencil and marker on MFD wood panel / Status fo the Original: available

Inspired, advised and encouraged, by the wonderful artist, Calvin McFarlane, I started this as a practice sheet. “Mrs Watercolors” and I are still on “formal terms” with each other. Calvin gave me some pointers and I tried to apply them. In the course of a 10 day work on this…I turely had fun and got more of a feel of the “difficult lady”! I was kind of happy with the result…and very greatful to Calvin for encouraging me. / Watercolor – 42×56 cm (I have to admitt, I cursed many times cause I didn’t use a smaller sheet ;-))
