I took these from an over head position the flowers were in the shade so the background isnt lit up so it works well.

The Maiden, The Mother and The Crone From the original acrylic on 100cm x 100cm canvas. Metallic and glitter overlays… I started this mandala the week before one of my close girl friends was diagnosed with lung cancer and finished four months later – the week after she died. It was a hugely cathartic work and the three phases of the goddess reflect the changes in me over the years. I have been the warrior maiden; mothered my child and have entered into the spiritual crone phase of my life… This is a work in progress. Every year I add something to the picture as it reflects my journey through this life. Bright Blessings to all:) all rights reserved mt2008 !!

18mm.. open up that lens if there is good opportunity for lights that go high up. Lightning can jump from cloud to cloud which can illuminate the cloud borders.

This is one branch on my rose called Double Delight, / it has the most magnificent flower showing this year, unfortunately this one does not have the same strong aroma as my other one, yes i have two and the other one is coloured slightly different to, the head was about 5 inch across, i think, i am not good with sizes..lol.. This was taken As Is on my Sony A200, the back ground blackness was not from the angle I took the photo this time it was taken with my new Macro Flash which i got for xmas, that attaches to the front lens of the camera, it is great for bringing out the colour and highlights of the plant.

aah. i love this sort of thing ..red bubble friendship A Collaboration of the poetry and feelings of Rubyjo. aka Judy and the editing of clipics / aka Kriss and the photography of moi In the words of Judy: / Isa posted this photo a while back and i was quite moved by it. Maybe it was the fact that it was taken in a hospital, or maybe it was the play of light and shadows on the linen, or maybe it was the whole feel of the image. But whatever the reason, it stayed on my mind. / I wrote this piece on September 12, 2009. During the write and ever since, I have visualized it combined with Isa’s photo. So finally one day I mailed her and asked if she was interested in a collaboration with me.
