Under the pile of rocks I am standing on is a fully functioning NATO base. You’d never know. This is the finish of Norseman – a multi-sport even which involved a 3.8k swim in a fjord, a 180k bike with some serious climbs, and a 42k run that finishes here. You can see the track for the last 5k of the run :) Not for the fainthearted ;) If you want to know more go here Gaustatoppen is one of the most famous mountains in Norway. From the top, and on a clear day, one can view an area covering 50000 Km2. The height is 1883m.

Although thousands of athletes worldwide compete at an Ironman event each year, the vast majority aim simply to just finish the course if they are first timers, or set a PR (personal record) time if they’ve raced this distance before. The Ironman Triathlon is a grueling event that pushes its participants to the limits of endurance. I completed 3 but could not start my 4th due to injury. A very good friend and her training buddy Henry. They have put in the hard work and now its almost time for race day. Stef will be competing in her first ironman in Bussleton WA on the 5th Dec. Yeah!
