Something old or something new, beautiful or an eyesore. It is still a debate, but love it or not this structure is different.

Now here’s something you don’t see every day. / The cement pyramid is actually a tank trap. They were placed along sand dunes in Stockton (right on the coast) to protect Williamtown air base during World War II. They can be found in different locations throughout Newcastle now. I think the ones left at Stockton have been covered by sand. Camera: FujiFilm FinePix S7000 / Location: Valentine, Newcastle, Oz. / Date: 20-02-2008 @ 2:49PM ISO200 / f/8 / Focal Length: 8mm / Exposure: 5.0sec / Filter: R72 (infrared) / Tripod / / /

Green Triangle is all about a pasage in time, and the careful use of space…. Now I’m not saying I’m completely voyeuristic, however, perched above a Cruise ship about to leave Venice I couldn’t help being marvelled by the comings and goings of the boarding process, and along comes, and I’ve coined it “Miss Italy” complete with boyant stride and outfit to match, turning heads along the way akin to a fashion runway. The raw concrete provided the perfect backdrop for her to be extra dazzling, not that she needed any hlep. Anyway, this piece is all about shapes as they appear before our eyes.

“This leopard mother with her two juvenile sons were sleeping their siesta. Lazily lying on a rock, they naturally composed by themselves a pretty collage. Each individual bears a unique pattern in different hues. / / Their bodies aligned in a way that formed a triangle among them. The spots are unique in their shape and design, creating all together a puzzle of sheer beauty.” / / ============================================================= / All proceeds from the sale of this piece of artwork will be donated to the Snow Leopard Trust. / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-——- Carmen, creator of Art for Conservation
