Yes I finally got my IR filter! This is the first shot I have taken with it so far, however as I took this this morning while rushing to work, I completely forgot to take a tripod or to set the white balance so I feel quite lucky it even turned out at all.. I just wish it wasn’t so overcast so I could have captured the dark infrared sky.. Sure it isn’t the best IR shot, but I have plenty of time to learn! Thanks for looking!
if you look close enough, you will find somethings hanging on the branches!
Old tree in cemetery in New York City.
part of a wall in the city. / It got some great old treeplants growing alongside of it. / A red skull-graphitti was sprayed on it. Not a great sight but If you cut out some parts you get a “chinese miniature”

Snow falls on Manhattan rooftops, fire escapes and a treasured tree. Copyright
This was taken along the Princess Hwy,traveling to Bairnsdale, Victoria. It’s so sad to see the effects of the drought first hand – the paddocks lined with dead trees and in the fog were a testimony to our harsh weather AS IS
This photo is taken just in the middle of Stavanger. Stavanger is a small city in Norway.
A tree grows in Cleveland.
What came first, the wall or the tree…?
This beautiful old tree is in the main street of my home town. I would hazard a guess that almost every child who’s live here (not to mention the tourists) over the last 75+ years has played under or climbed this tree. / Long may he live !!!
Camera Olympus c750 ouz This tree was still strugging to live when I took this pic, It was declared inoperable a few months later. / It has now been removed. The historic, heritage-listed Tree of Knowledge at Barcaldine, next to the railway stration[ in background] known as the birthplace of the Australian Labor Party (ALP), is likely to die as a result of poisoning. / / The Tree of Knowledge in Barcaldine after the poisoning. / / This tree is a ghost gum (Eucalyptus papuana) that stands tall in the main street of Barcaldine and is around 200 years old. It became famous because in the nineteenth century striking shearers gathered under its branches for meetings which lead to the formation of the ALP. The Barcaldine Shire Council Mayor, Rob Chandler, says the tree is now dying because about 30 litres of poison was poured on its roots. “We’re just drowning the tree at the moment to hopefully wash away as much as we can.” A tree doctor from the Department of Primary Industries has taken leaf and soil samples for further testing, but it may be too late to save the ghost gum. The tree has absorbed a large amount of chemical but it could take up to six weeks before its future is known. John Chapman, a spokesman, says forty per cent of leaves have already been lost and it’s likely the icon won’t survive.
Urban Tree Theme: it´s about / trees living in the urban concrete / jungle, like us…
This tree was intertwined with a post in Faro, Portugal.
Taken in Edinburgh on a damp evening in march
A photograph taken at La Defence, Paris.
I took this photo on a very busy road in Sydney. I love the contrast between the bleakness of the buildings and the fragile yet defiant tree. The plain brick wall also provides a lovely canvas that highlights the tree.
