  • Sun light skims tall magestic tree trunks and highlights green leaves on Bridge Track deep in the rain forest of the Otway Ranges. / Not far from here is a bush camp know as Dandos, one of the most delightful places to camp by the river…but not a holiday time, it’s getting too popular!. / Not long after this shot was taken heavy Otway rains and flood picked up the bridge and moved it sidways 1 meter closing the track for some months, it has now been fixed into that new position. / Taken with Fuji S2 Pro

  • AN OLD WOODEN BOAT LIES BESIDE AN INLET AT LLANGWM, PEMBROKESHIRE WALES

  • This tree root is on the northern periphery of our property. We’ve lived here for over 35 years, and it’s been here all that time, in exactly the same state you see it here. I marvel at its perfect heart shape and think it’s a little note from God to remind me of his undying love. I borrowed the title from the refrain of a hymn written by Father John Foley, S.J. / Here are the lyrics of that hymn: Dwelling Place / by John Foley, SJ I fall on my knees to the Father of Jesus / The Lord who has shown us, the glory of God. May He in His love give us strength for our living / The strength of His Spirit, the glory of God. May Christ find a dwelling place of faith in our hearts / May our lives be rooted in love, rooted in love. May grace and peace be yours in God our Father / And in His son. May Christ find a dwelling place of faith in our hearts / May our lives be rooted in love, rooted in love.

  • Built around 1815 this church in the hills of Chimayo, New Mexico, is considered a masterpiece of colonial folk art and architecture and has been deemed a National Historic Landmark. Famed for its miraculous cross and the healing powers of the soil, the Prayer Room is filled with candles, cards & crude hand made shrines as well as crutches and braces testifying to miracles. Directly across the road they sell the best chili powder money can buy.

  • A shower before the storm in the Great Smoky Mountains. This was made from the breezeway or dog-trot of Ephraim Bales Cabin, located along the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail. Two types of fencing can also be seen in the picture. A rock wall on the left and a wooden picket fence on the right. The sound of the rain falling in the forest was as relaxing for me as it was for Ephraim over a hundred years ago.

  • Old dilapidated barn with rustic red doors. This old barn will be torn down sometime this month. Someone in the neighborhood complained that it was an “eye sore”.... so sad! Image was redone for me in HDR by Kimberly Palmer.

  • This stream is within the Cascade Range and Modoc Plateau natural region of Northern California. It originates from underground springs and flows to Lake Britton, getting larger along the way to Burney Falls. This volcanic region is surrounded by mountain peaks and is covered by black volcanic rock, or basalt. Created over a million years ago, the layered, porous basalt retains rainwater and snow melt, which forms a large underground reservoir. The water then emerges as springs at and above Burney Falls, where it flows at 100 million gallons every day.

  • Yosemite Falls and a boardwalk leading to it. Taken in early June. I would like to come back to this same exact spot someday and shoot this when a storm is approaching with some dramatic clouds above the mountain. Every day was a clear, bluebird sky when I was there and the weather did not offer me any drama.

  • Taken at Exeter Quayside in Exeter, South Devon. England, UK Trying a little High Key editing on this one. / I like the way that this turned out. / Hope you do also. / Thank you for looking :))

  • I took this photo last year in Upstate NY. My calico cat, Little Bear had never seen snow before and these were her tracks. After watching her walk through the snow and towards the sunlight I felt that she was like me wanting that warm Florida sun. Living in Florida for the first 9+ years of her life snow was NOT something she was a fan of… and NEITHER AM I…lol…:) I am moving back home to Florida next month! YIPPEE!! Needless to say… I most likely will not be taking any more snow photos for a VERY VERY VERY VERY long time! This is Little Bear.. now 10 1/2 years old.
