#1 in the series of “Fog in Wilderness” Titled, “Mystic Woods” I used a blue hue with green, yellow orche, and burnt sienna in the foreground. I detailed the trees and paid particular attention to each tree branch (a time consuming process). Animal—wolf Original oil on canvas, 24×36. **Signed by artist (me)

Oil on Canvas I know we’re not supposed to put works in progress in here, but I think this stands on it’s own before the ghosts. I do plan to paint fog and ghosts into this one.

Created in ps….from 3 images using layers / & blending, added the wolf and moon….and blended the road scene in. / Hope you enjoy as I did making it :)))
Created using layers and blending in PS…Landscape b/g added lady and face with blending. / Lyrics James Blunt Did I disappoint you or let you down? / Should I be feeling guilty or let the judges frown? / ‘Cause I saw the end before we’d begun, / Yes I saw you were blinded and I knew I had won. / So I took what’s mine by eternal right. / Took your soul out into the night. / It may be over but it won’t stop there, / I am here for you if you’d only care. / You touched my heart you touched my soul. / You changed my life and all my goals. / And love is blind and that I knew when, / My heart was blinded by you. / I’ve kissed your lips and held your head. / Shared your dreams and shared your bed. / I know you well, I know your smell. / I’ve been addicted to you. Goodbye my lover. / Goodbye my friend. / You have been the one. / You have been the one for me. I am a dreamer but when I wake, / You can’t break my spirit – it’s my dreams you take. / And as you move on, remember me, / Remember us and all we used to be / I’ve seen you cry, I’ve seen you smile. / I’ve watched you sleeping for a while. / I’d be the father of your child. / I’d spend a lifetime with you. / I know your fears and you know mine. / We’ve had our doubts but now we’re fine, / And I love you, I swear that’s true. / I cannot live without you. Goodbye my lover. / Goodbye my friend. / You have been the one. / You have been the one for me. And I still hold your hand in mine. / In mine when I’m asleep. / And I will bear my soul in time, / When I’m kneeling at your feet. / Goodbye my lover. / Goodbye my friend. / You have been the one. / You have been the one for me. / I’m so hollow, baby, I’m so hollow. / I’m so, I’m so, I’m so hollow.
I wonder if there’s a Heaven / Do the beautiful winged angels fly / Above the woods and sunlit gardens / Of their Utopia in the sky And sing with the larks in the morning / Their carols of love and of joy / Long years ago I dreamt such things of great beauty / when I was an innocent boy Back then I was nearer to Heaven / Far nearer than I am today / Since I have lost the innocence of childhood / Heaven from me seems much further away I wonder if there is a Heaven / Do birds sing on the blossoming trees / And do the rivers from their homes in the mountains / Sing their way to the Heavenly seas. crouching model by lamanouche.
LIFE…......I ASKED I asked God to take away my pain. / God said, No. / It is not for me to take away, but for you / to give it up. I asked God to make my handicapped child whole. / God said, No. / Her spirit was whole, her body was / only temporary. I asked God to grant me patience. / God said, No. / Patience is a by-product of tribulations; it isn’t / granted, it is earned. I asked God to give me happiness. / God said, No. / I give you blessings. Happiness is up to you. I asked God to spare me pain. / God said, No. / Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares and / brings you closer to me. I asked God to make my spirit grow. / God said, No. / You must grow on your own, but I will prune / you to make you fruitful. I asked for all things that I might enjoy life. / God said, No. / I will give you life so that you may / enjoy all things. I ask God to help me LOVE others, as much / as he loves me. God said… / Ahhhh….. FINALLY…. you have the idea. woman & jesus by Lamanouche. / background my own image
When your day seems out of balance / And so many things go wrong / When people fight around you / And the clock drags on so long… When most folks act like children / And fill you with remorse / Go out into your pasture / Wrap your arms around your horse. His gentle breath enfolds you / As he watches with those eyes / He may not have a PhD / But he is, oh, so wise! His head rests on your shoulder / You embrace him good and tight; / He puts your world in balance / And makes it seem all right. Your tears will soon stop flowing / Then tension will be eased. / The nonsense has been lifted / You are quiet and at peace. So when you need some balance / From the stresses in your day, / The best therapy you can seek / Is out there eating hay! WJ
Daily I struggle with my faith, / has my God turned his back on me? / For I feel so all alone, / my eyes they do not see; The beauty that I used to cherish, / of the life in which I live, / I now dwell upon problems in life, / Which to the Lord I used to give. Now I dont know where to turn, / Im not sure what to do; / Am I all alone in life? / Lord I long for you! For I miss the daily walk, / that we used to share. / Please tell me you still love me Lord; / Please let me know your there.
This wolf was running for ages with what looked like / a crow …searching for a safe place to have dinner I suppose. Wolves / Endangered, Beautiful / Howls at friends / Are often quite misjudged / creatures
This standing being once rooted deep in the Earth / the rivers’ waters ran high, uprooted her for rebirth A magical aura surrounds her form, in remains / as she respectfully identifies our humble domain At her base sits the medicine and strength of the Bear / whose introspective instinct fares none to compare Great Horned Owl, the largest of all night birds / guarding with discernment and outsmarting the absurd Enduring Elk supports our stamina and health / reminding us our persistence and hope brings wealth Our four-legged teachers, like the wise old wolf / taught us new paths and options, as the old were engulfed Secretive Bobcat, in her stillness, does silently watch / honoring mindfulness, with no dogma to debauch The great Buffalo reminds us scarcity is based upon fear / to be released and make way for abundance is made quite clear Atop the embodiment of Spirit, as the Eagle does soar / the freedom of oneness and connecting without keeping score Owl in the Moon oversees winds of ever-present change / whilst the realm of our ancestors broaden their range Clawed, winged, finned and even those who crawl / are akin upon Earth, as I avow never to intentionally maul As one score has passed, opening this brethrens’ door / to these medicine creatures, I gratefully accept much more than folklore. WindOwl 3/3/09 tkrosevear This photograph is of a tree downed in the rivers floods last year, that we brought to our entry and merged with photos of 7 creature teachers whom represent the four cardinal directions and above, below and within – the owl within the moon represents my spirit name and connection to them all. Digital art in abstract realism style. Inspired by Baker’s Park where I escape to see wildlife at times. Also inspired by Lake Texoma’s Hagerman Wildlife Refuge and the animals that roam free there….located near my home in Texas.
This is my favourite little spot on the outskirts of York when I need to shoot a change in the seasons on the trees and field or to take a breathe after a long day on the road before going home. Again the cloud formations were amazing and luckily the farmer had left this hale bale by the tree, so thanks to the artistic director at the farm lol. So did you spot the shark or the wolf looking for the house of straw? Shot in North Yorkshire. Another black and white pinhole conversion. / Best viewed large Huge thanks to the hosts of the Northern Landscapes Group / for the feature
