This old rustic fence running off down the hill with it’s slotted holes in the misty morning of a cold grey Macedon day looked good with the lone tree as a backdrop.
There is ALWAYS Hope / . / Watch the Video here / . / When you try your best but you don’t succeed / When you get what you want but not what you need / When you feel so tired but you can’t sleep / Stuck in reverse When the tears come streaming down your face / When you lose something you can’t replace / When you love someone but it goes to waste / Could it be worse? Lights will guide you home / And ignite your bones / And I will try to fix you And high up above or down below / When you’re too in love to let it go / But if you never try you’ll never know / Just what you’re worth Lights will guide you home / And ignite your bones / And I will try to fix you Tears stream down your face / When you lose something you cannot replace / Tears stream down your face / And I Tears stream down your face / I promise you that I will learn from my mistakes / Tears stream down your face / And I Lights will guide you home / And ignite your bones / And I will try to fix you / . / Coldplay
Looking along a line of very rusty barb wire with a tree behind. The macro has made the bark texture dissolve into smoke.
Peter Garrett. References are from Midnight Oil’s cd leaflet – The 20,000 Watt R.S.L. / It was going to be all the Midnight Oil band members but I was lazy. This is fairly old now. It’s acrylic on daggy cardboard.
I don’t usually do IR shots with people or animals, but this horse was kind enough to stay still for me for 2 seconds. ......................................................................................................... Bored in a stable with nothing to do. / We make a game of throwing our shoes. / Lead me to water, but not to the track. / Show me a saddle and I’ll say, “Hey get off my back.” / All in favor (all in favor) say “Nay!” / We like the flavor of (we like the flavor of) hay. / We’re gonna graze all of our days. / Until they take us away and turn us into glue. / Like Mr. Ed always said… May the horse be with you. May the horse be with you. / May the Horse be with you everyday. / I trot by the fillies (they like me of course). / They all dig my band (yea I’m a rocking horse). / You gotta take off your spurs to ride me you know. / If you want me to stop then yell out “Whoa”. / All in favor (all in favor) say “Nay!” / We like the flavor of (we like the flavor of) ha / .............................. An IR shot. Title inspired by Frank Zappa again. / ......................................................................................................... / Out in Cucamonga / Many years ago / Near a Holy Roller Church / There was once a place / Where me and a couple of friends / Began practicing for the time / We might go / On TV / And as fate would have it / Later on we got a chance to play. / All we ever really knew: / That it was crazy / / / / / / Why not check out “Fenced Off” while you’re here… / /
An IR shot of two horses. / Luckily they both stood still for the 2 sec’s I needed them to.
An IR shot…...surprise, surprise.. / / Without the wonders of an ir filter this was just an ordinary paddock…green grass, a lone tree and a flowing river.

I’ve always liked this one. I’d gotten up at 4:30am to catch a sunrise, got myself in to place & was patiently waiting for dawn when the thickest blanket of fog I’ve ever seen decended all around me. I was not impressed, until I got above the fog & saw the view : )
I’ve been playing with this shot for way too long. I’ve done about 8 versions and can’t decide which one, if any, I like best. This is the one I’m posting…any feedback would be great – you know how it is when you overwork something – can’t see the good bits through all of the annoying bits. / / / Camera: FujiFilm FinePix S7000 / Location: Tumut in the Land of Oz / / ISO200 / f/8 / 4.0sec exposure / R72 filter / Tripod / / POSTSCRIPT / / After reading everyones comments, I’m changing my opinion of this pic now. I’ve looked at the other 7 versions and this one is definately the best, actually by a long way so I’m glad I persisted with it…I think I’m happy with it now….and besides my limited photoshopping skills have run out – I wouldn’t know what else to do with it anyway….lol
Same tree as seen in “The Yard” . / But I don’t care. / I was playing around with some new textures shots and a bird shot…............. and this tree worked the best. / Enjoy! collaboration with my friend saad he gave me a sexy 3d render, then I worked over it with my original colours. he touched up with his colour tones which I liked a lot, and here it is. Very experimental and something new from me. www.archann.net
slow shutter speed experiment I added just a bit of light , ever so slight.. if not it is . straight out of the camera another view of the misty morning fog in Alva Florida:) 1/50 s / f/7.1 / Focal Length : 35.7 mm / Sony Dsc H 7 Cybershot camera
An infrared capture taken with a HOYA R72 filter. Topaz Adjust was used to give a slight HDR effect on the grass and fence.
Last post ( promise!) from a magical day trying out my first dslr and playing with the settings! Untouched straight from the camera Nikon D60 / Nikkor 18-200 / UV filter / f/20 / 1/20 sec / ISO-100 / focal length 18m / tripod – still in my backpack unfortunately….. ;)))
A red glass float in my tree takes on a foreboding appearance in this photo.
Captured this beautiful fall scene while on a motorcycle ride to Georgia, Nov. 2008. Didn’t seem fair to be separated from the beauty on the other side by that fence, so I just included it as well. Taken with Nikon D300 and Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8. / Light HDR processing and some Dodge & Burn applied.
(166 Views) RedBubble Art Feature “Halloween” Top Ten Challenge – 10 Place – “Bloody…” – Mood and Ambience Song lyrics by Tom Waits “There was a murder in the red barn / Murder in the red barn The trees are bending over / The cows are lying down / The atumn’s taking over / You can hear the buckshot hounds / The watchman said to Reba the loon / Was it pale at Manzanita / Or Blind Bob the raccoon? / Pin it on a drifter / They sleep beneath the bridge / One plays the violin / And sleeps inside a fridge / There was a murder in the red barn / A murder in the red barn Someone’s crying in the woods / Someone’s burying all his clothes / Now Slam the Crank from Wheezer / Slept outside last night and froze / Road kill has its seasons / Just like anything / It’s possums in the autumn / And it’s farm cats in the spring / There was a murder in the red barn / A murder in the red barn Now thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s house / Or covet thy neighbor’s wife / But for some / Murder is the only door through which they enter life Now they surrounded the house / They smoke him out / They took him off in chains / The sky turned black and bruised / And we had months of heavy rains / Now the raven’s nest in the rotted roof / Of Chenoweth’s old place / And no one’s asking Cal / About that scar upon his face / ‘Cause there’s nothin’ strange / About an axe with bloodstains in the barn There’s always some killin’ / You got to do around the farm / A murder in the red barn / Murder in the red barn Now the woods will never tell / What sleeps beneath the trees / Or what’s buried ‘neath a rock / Or hiding in the leaves / ‘Cause road kill has it’s seasons / Just like anything / It’s possums in the atumn / And it’s farm cats in the spring / A murder in the red barn / A murder in the red barn Now a lady can’t do ntohin’ / Without folks’ tongues waggin’ / Is this blood on the tree / Or is it autumn’s red blaze / When the ground’s soft for diggin’ / ANd the rain will bring all this gloom / There’s nothing wrong with a lady / Drinking alone in her room / But there was a murder in the red barn / A murder in the red barn”
Taken in Nakusp BC last November. /
