I have never met anyone who can channel such poetry within minuets!!! This will be nestled by the Piece as a Co-Laboration.. Co-Creation. There is much behind the events that lead up to this very special union and I am forever in deep appreciation to RB to Know you all.. this is FUN! Breeze of Existance / By Wendy Slee Then as if through deep forests, / With their breath held waiting / Comes a stirring, a movement, anticipating… / Leaves awaken, heart quickens, limbs lift and extend / To receive the cool caress of a long welcome friend. / And you are here, / You the wind, / It is you that I know, / Yet know not where you come from, nor where you will go. / A free spirit you pass by me, / Yet somehow remain, / Swirling around me and through me, / Easing the pain… I ache to just hold you, keep you here for all time / But I can’t catch the wind / Cannot grasp what’s not mine…. / If I close my fingers, I’ll hold nothing but air… / If I reach out to possess you, it’s myself I’ll ensnare… / So I stand in your path, feel your breath on my face / And just bask in your spirit / As it moves through my space… / In the silence of your passing, the emptiness wake, / There’s a stillness that echoes with all you evoked / The power and beauty of the zephyr flies free / But your essence and magic has become part of me.

It was the very first image I posted on RB, and it’s been the most viewed. I’m very proud that it’s been featured in AMERICAS ~ Rural, Urban, Wild, Free – Expressions of Artists. Thinking back to that day when I pulled off the road into a pile of snow and got out of the car to wait for the right moment which might have never happened. How often have we all done something similar? It’s what makes photography so fascinating, even when the weather does it’s best to be a bit unpleasant. Thank you so much, Sharon and Marjorie, you do me honor and I am grateful.

Today I wanted to do a special tribute…and since .I love finding images to put together for the home page suggestions, I thought this was a great way to do it. All of these images worked perfectly to help me remember this wonderful singer. And there were so many others that were also wonderful and found their way to my pages of favorites…..but these seemed to work the best. / I write this with a lump in my throat and a realization that things they are a changin. I am so very sad to say good by to Mary Travers. / I grew up with Peter, Paul and Mary…...and I can’t imagine never seeing them all together again. She will be missed. / This awesome group shaped many of my convictions and beliefs…..the words of each song are powerful and soft and heart felt…...all so full of emotion. / Early Morning Rain / Leaving on a Jet Plane / The Great Mandela / Blowin in the Wind / Puff the Magic Dragon / Lemon Tree / The Wedding song / Where have all the flowers gone / All songs that were often sung around a camp fire or just jamming in our family home. I don’t have a link for Lemon Tree, but I adore this trio and will miss there shining star….This tribute is for Mary Travers…...RIP / / And a special addition by Leigh…..
