A little pond near my home.The water was beginning to freeze,for me this scene shows the immobility we feel between two seasons.I have several shot of that pond,it’s a quiet place,I often go there just to be with myself and listen to the sound of nature.

When we moved into our new house in Western North Carolina, I loved how the morning sunlight would shine through the mist in our back yard. This tree seemed to be warming itself in the light. I used the Orton effect to give it a more dreamy look. Featured in the Contrasting Perceptions Group, May, 2009.
