  • What-not shelf with collage of extracts from some of my pictures. I originally shot the shelf at a Brussels flea market in black & white.

  • For that silly Captain Morgan’s contest. What the hell, eh? More coming from this series. Photo by Mom, imaging (and modeling) by me.

  • Final in a series, collect all three. I’m on a one-woman crusade to bring the tricorn hat back into fashion. Photo by Deborah Shelton, modeling and imaging by me.

  • Let your mind be quiet, realizing the beauty of the world, and the immense, the boundless treasures that is holds in store.

  • A fertile rock pool hiding behind a collection of eroded rocks at Sorrento beach, Australia.

  • Life’s a gamble!

  • This one goes out to Professor POS ~ when you say “my style” this is what “I” mean ;) :D I was going to put this on a tee, but i was a bit iffy about that red. tee:

  • The tee of this… slightly changed for tee worship

  • In Berlin Charlottenburg (Germany)...

  • Tynemouth Priory was founded early in the 7th century. / In 800 the Danes plundered Tynemouth Priory. / Afterwards the monks strengthened the fortifications sufficiently to prevent / the Danes from succeeding when they attacked again in 832. / However, in 865 the church and monastery were destroyed by the Danes. / At the same time, the nuns of St Hilda, who had come there for safety, were massacred. The priory was again plundered by the Danes in 870. / / The priory was destroyed by the Danes in 875. / The small parish church of St Mary remained. / This Chapel is behind the Blue door. / When entering it is truly stepping back in time.

  • Another shot of the Bay Bridge over looking San Francisco. Also if you look on the bridge you can see a police vehicle swerving across lanes to slow traffic.

  • As mentioned in my Penguin in a Snow Storm, I saw mobii’s Origami Penguin Tee shirt, and wanted to give it a go myself. This is the scenario I had in mind for it, and the first penguin I folded (the one in Penguin in a Snow Storm folded from a 7×7mm piece of paper) was too small, so I folded two bigger penguins with 14×14mm pieces of paper. The one on the left is flying up a bit after the right one stomped onto the other end. The seasaw is a cotton swab, and the “ice”, upon which the penguins and seesaw are reflected, is a plastic container. For a better idea of scale: / This work has been featured in / Color Me a Rainbow / Little Things To Make You Smile This work won 1st place in this challenge but the record got lost due to this accident. But I’m very thankful to the host Pene who has re-accepted my work into the group and made a special note in the challenge about my winning work. / / / / / It looks great on a card! • Third Place in “Red” challenge in Weekly Theme Challenges July 7, 2009. / Featured in I Love Birds May 27, 2009. / Featured in DSLR Users Only May 25, 2009. Best Viewed Larger A male cardinal outside my kitchen window (Montgomery County Maryland) on a rainy, cold March 2, 2009. This image is an homage to Jan Piller whose work I admire so much and who inspired me to play harder with textures. I still have a long way to go, lol!!! Image taken with the Nikon D40x and the 70-300mm vr Nikon / Nikkor lens. Post processing included some brush strokes in Photoshop, levels, burning and dodging and a texture layer. Texture from Princess of Shadows at Deviant Art “Cardinalidae Male Northern Cardinal / Scientific classification / Kingdom: Animalia / Phylum: Chordata / Class: Aves / Order: Passeriformes / Suborder: Passeri / Family: Cardinalidae / Genera / Periporphyrus / Saltator / Caryothraustes / Parkerthraustes / Rhodothraupis / Cardinalis / Pheucticus / Cyanocompsa / Passerina / Spiza / The Cardinals or Cardinalidae are a family of passerine birds found in North and South America. The South American cardinals in the genus Paroaria are placed in another family, the Thraupidae (previously placed in Emberizidae). / These are robust, seed-eating birds, with strong bills. The family ranges in size from the 12-cm, 11.5-gram Orange-breasted Bunting to the 25-cm, 85-gram Black-headed Saltator[verification needed]. They are typically associated with open woodland. The sexes usually have distinctive appearances; the family is named for the red plumage (colored cardinal like the color of a Catholic cardinal’s vestments) of males of the type species, the Northern Cardinal. / The “buntings” in this family are sometimes generically known as “tropical buntings” (though not all live in the tropics) or “North American buntings” (though there are other buntings in North America) to distinguish them from the true buntings. Likewise the grosbeaks in this family are sometimes called “cardinal-grosbeaks” to distinguish them from other grosbeaks. The name “cardinal-grosbeak” can also apply to this family as a whole. / Most species are rated by the IUCN as least concern, though some are near threatened.” info courtesy of Wikipedia
