Pears in a tropical spa setting. Morning light.
Discarded metallic trays in a disused warehouse.
I wanted to create mood here. Let the imagination run wild. One of two.
This is one of the trays of the body fridge at this abandoned asylum, pulled out onto the cart outside of the fridge. As you can see to the right there are more trays, though i didn’t count i would estimate perhaps 20 all in all here.

A butler delivering an invitation card on a tray with a flower in a vase. Just having some fun :)
these are the two colours of Nasturtiums I have growing. I laid them on a silver tray (not real silver I may add LOL!!!) to see how the reflection worked
/ / / Reload of an older image… / / Model: Loki / Concept: Loki / Location: The old Aradale Asylum – Ararat, Victoria / This is an a fun shot that was taken at a weekend in Aradale’s old mental asylum, which has been closed down for about 20 years now. Loki was made up for a shoot that I took part in about a cow’s revenge on a butcher (I was the cow!). Neither had anything to do with mental illness or the Asylum’s history. Those themes were covered with different shots and write ups. Not all of the photographs were to do with Aradale’s history – a history which all of us appreciated and connected with whilst there. The blood was a home made recipe made up by the talented and passionate Jo O’Brien, it was very much non toxic and edible! / / / /
Originally I posted up one of the butler pieces but I came across this image hidden in my files and preferred it, just something about the stance and the candles The original is here: Model : Self Portrait

He knows how much I like flowers but it was still a surprise when he walked through the door with a bouquet of them wrapped in a big, red bow. They’ve been photographed in a bunch, in three’s, in a bowl, in a vase, with different props and finally I settled on a single rose. The house is now a mess again. :-) HollyCawfieldPhotography

One of the main elements involved in the (African) Yoruba divination system is the divination tray. This tray (Ifá) serves as the template on which sacred signs related to the personal concerns of a diviner’s client are traced as the point of departure for analysis. This time the idea was that of using this divination tray as a basic platform to display the main Orishas _ the African gods and goddesses_ and their peculiar attributes. / So this is basically a Cinema4D render, made in collaboration with artist Artpearl, who modelled the 3D divination tray. / Some visual effects were created and blended with Photoshop; there´s also a bit of digital painting. (CINEMA 4D is a commercial, cross-platform, high-end 3-D graphics application, produced by MAXON Computer, Germany. / —-—-—-—-—-—-—- “In Yoruba mythology, Shango is perhaps the most popular Orisha; he is a Sky Father, god of thunder and lightning. He is considered the center point of the religion as he represents the Oyo people of West Africa. / The energy given from this Deity is also a major symbol of African resistance against an enslaving European culture. He rules the color red and white; his sacred number is 6; his symbol is the oshe (double-headed axe), which represents swift and balanced justice. He is owner of the Bata (3 double-headed drums) and of music in general, as well as the Art of Dance and Entertainment.” / This image belongs to a series I´ve entitled “The Orishas Collection”. Main figure was obtained by changing morphs on M4; I modelled all clothing, props and accesories for this character. / You can find a brief on this Orisha by clicking here
I was in the Democratic Republic of Congo…we pulled over to the side of the road to buy some water and this guy and his mates came over to sell us some food. Love his face and eyes.

Original Artwork 50×40cm Acrylic on Canvas This painting is a newer version, I was never satisfied with the first one, so I put the brush to it again and harmonized the colors and tightened up some of the elements. I think it’s done now. Featured in Best of Your Best Cards – July 2009
