Captured along the Mount Evans Wilderness in Colorado, this is one of those waterfalls that kind of sneaks up on ya outta the blue, and if you blink, you actually miss it. I really don’t much in the way of long exposure shots, but after being happy with how this one came out, I am going to start doing them more. Hope ya all like it! This was taken in Cumberland Falls Kentucky. This is one of only two places on earth that renders a Moon Bow. The other Falls that has a Moon Bow is Victoria Falls in Africa. This is a combination of two photo’s to add heighth to the tree line and a sky. I did some digital painting work on this to blen the two in a pleasing manor.

The Iguazu waterfalls. One of those overwhelming places. The roar of these giant waterfalls is deafening, there beauty blinding. This shot of “La Garganta del Diablo” was a battle against the spray, but it was worth it. This was taken from the Brazilian side, the far side, a little obscured by the mist, is Argentina. Wallpaper can be found here This image has been featured by ‘The World’. / Sold as an extra large canvas print to a mystery buyer.

Yosemite National Park – April 2008 Dragged myself out of bed at 7am with a raging temperature and flu in minus temps. Equipment used: / Nikon D70s / Sigma 18-200mm f3.5-6.3 DC / B&W 62mm Circular Polarisation Location: / Athabasca Falls, Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada Map: / Road Map , Terrain , Satellite Copyright: / © Brendan Schoon , All rights reserved. Background Information: / This picture is taken near Athabasca Falls . Athabasca Falls in Jasper National Park is just 23 metres high. However, it is not known for its height. Instead it is known for the force of the falling water due to the quantity of water flowing. Even on a cold morning in the fall, copious amounts of water flow over the falls. A layer of hard quartzite has allowed the falls to cut into the softer limestone below carving the short gorge and a number of potholes. White water rafting often starts below the falls to travel downstream on the Athabasca River to Jasper, Alberta. It is a class 5 waterfall, with a drop of 80 ft (24 m) and a width of 60 ft (18 m). The Yerköprü Waterfall of Ermenek River is located in Southern Middle Anatolia (Turkey), 40 kilometer outside of a small town named Mut. To reach the waterfall an offroad car is necessary. Following a stony way in the mountains, the last part need to walk down in the valley. During summer in this area the temperature can be over 40° C, so it is very nice to enjoy the fresh water and air near the waterfall. © Photo and text by Jens Helmstedt

Taken in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, USA. Pretty much a tourist snapshot of the Falls, which I thought I would share with you ! / A rather crowded place, justifiably so, who wouldn’t want to see this sight ? The Canyon has some amazing colours, and I found the best time was towards evening to be viewed at it’s best. The vertiginous slopes are very loose and crumbly, and I wondered how those trees maintain their perilous foothold !! Shot on a Canon EOS 40D, polariser, tripod, f22, 1/3 sec, iso 100, auto wb, RAW file processed in PS CS3, levels/curves/selective colour adjustments.
