Green Dragon on a yellow umbrella.
This gorgeous red Dragonfly was a frequent visitor and let me take many shots of him. This is one of my favorites – hope you enjoy. / / / ___ / All The Materials Contained May Not Be Reproduced, Copied, Edited, Published, Transmitted Or Uploaded In Any Way Without My Permission. This image was shot using 35 mm colour transparency film then chemically cross processed (e6 to c41), doing this can give you lovely green hues. The original analogue photograph was then scanned and only the cubed effect was achieved using photoshop. Some cubes were also slightly desaturated with photoshop too.
Crazy as it is, there exist butterflies that have transparent wings. I have never seen one before, but they keep a few in the butterfly gardens in Knokke-Heist in Belgium. And there I´ve met my first one. / The butterfly is commonly called the Glasswing and its home is Central America. Photographed with Nikon D200, lens Tamron 90mm, f/2,8 Some suggestions: /
This will be the last origami piece I post before heading off to Rome; and I will unlikely be doing anymore while I’m in school. I’m not fooling around; I made these ducks before in the first version of “3cm Family Swim” as shown above; and remember I said I may redo that shot at some point? I’ll still keep the other one up though. In this coloured version I coloured the water and sky and placed a transparent ruler over the water. This one has one less duckling than the previous one (I laid off the little guy who wouldn’t raise his bum :P) Every duck was folded from trace paper; mommy duck was folded from a 15×15mm piece, the middle one was 6×6mm, and the little one at the back 5×5mm. This work has been featured in: / Art in Math / Colour Me a Rainbow More sample origami:

Simmondsia vitra is closely related to the Jojoba shrub (Simmondsia chinensis), pronounced “ho-HO-bah”. Jojoba is native to the Sonoran and Mojave deserts of Arizona, California, and Mexico. Simmondsia vitra however is primarily found in arid urban environments and produces an extremely toxic, oily substance.
