This image came to me in a dream and a few months later in a meditation a few months before the year 2000. So I decided I would do a painting of what I had “seen”. It represents or expresses the merging of the finite with the Infinite. / This painting symbolises the emergence of the Goddess or Feminine archetype of mercy, compassion, wisdom and love. It expresses how the world’s known Truths are being made known again. The Feminine archetype which is now encircling our world, fully aligns herself with the masculine order (represented by the vertical columns), bringing balance and harmony, and breathing into it Soul, understanding and unconditional love. The symbology throughout the painting represents the “weaving” together of strength and vulnerability, passion and discipline, pragmatism and intuition, the masculine with the feminine, all conjoining together as part of our essence and expression. The passing of the Age of Pisces is symbolised by the water below the columns. The Age of Aquarius is symbolised by the Cosmos, planets and stars (Higher Mind balanced with Heart) The Temple (which includes the body) is symbolic of Spiritual striving and attainment, it reflects the Universe as a whole.

This is another image from Union Creek, Oregon during their prescribed burn last Fall. This image is different in that the sunburst is directly in the center and I have applied the Orten Effect for a challenge on vanishing points. So thanks for your patience in viewing this image again, but in a different form.

To take another step…... / To where it leads I fear….... Original image taken Les Invalides: Napoleon’s Tomb in Paris, obviously with a fair degree of postwork. I have to add, I was totally inspired whilst working on this, listening to “The Resistance”, Muse. Can you see the ghostly figure, not knowing whether to continue up the stairs to the light….....? Gazing upwards, a skeletal figure, gazing downwards, a screaming face, can you see both ? Many thanks to The Male Photographer group for the feature (September 2009).

The sacred bird of the famous Ghost Dance was the crow. / The crow is considered to be the keeper of all sacred law, the one who knew the deep mysteries of all creation. Seeing a crow in certain situations was an omen of coming change. Spiritual crow power could lead a seeker to the gates of the supernatural… / This one ‘cawed’ in the season changing, shot as is, out a window in our front yard, inspiring the article written for Earthmonster Illustrated the digital arts ezine to celebrate creativity ~ follow the crow on over and check it out…
