This image was taken before dawn down at North Narrabeen Rock Pool. This is one of the largest rock pools in Australia. This image was a 3 minute exposure which captures a lovely blurring of the clouds. The interesting colours of the water are due to overhead lighting on the pool. This is a very simple but peaceful image. For those that want to find out how I produced this, I described my processing in detail in one of my blog posts You can read it here

Thought I’d play around with a slightly more surreal shot. The red light is from an overhead sodium light that casts a funky orange/red light on the pool. Great storm clouds brewing in the East around sunrise. Mona Vale pool is one of my favorites around Sydney. Enjoy.

This still proud She Oak stands close to the shores of Swan Lake. It is a wonderful location and continues to change as the water rises. Yep it’s still raining here. / It’s so peaceful, I often find myself just sitting down ,forgetting about the camera and absorbing all that’s happening around me. What you can’t see are the many lake birds getting ready to bed down for the night.

This morning was a gorgeous morning to be up and about…. 5AM and I was wondering the rocks of North Narrabeen in just a T-shirt. Not a cloud in the sky, not a puff of wind, hardly a swell in sight. Not the best conditions for seascape photography, but a lovely morning to be up and about enjoying the Spring weather. Did manage to take this photo of North Narrabeen Rock Pool. Love the old textured planks around the pool.

THE PROCEEDS FROM THE SALES OF THIS WORK WILL BE DONATED TO OINK’S FUND I was saddened to hear that Oink had been subject to vicious attacks from thugs. They had been throwing bricks at him and putting washing up liquid in the 15 year old’s water trough. After hearing about the threat to Oink’s safety, David Larkin kindly donated and set up a CCTV sytem in Oink’s field. Other well-wishers are making donations to Oinks fund, which will raise money towards providing further security for Oink, such as a new fence. Read the full story, here Please also see Oink’s new website which is also accepting donations. The tranquil beast in this photo manipulation is a Water Buffalo. I think he’s the only one in the UK, and I stumbled across him while out walking my dog in some local fields. His name is Oink! He got stranded in his field during the floods a few months ago. Luckily, he found his way to safety and became quite the celebrity in the animal world! This was edited in a similar way to my other work, Lord of the Water. Please click on this link for details. / . / Please view large photo to appreciate panorama fully / . / This is a panorama taken on the same night of my other photos “Luna Over Luna Park”, ““By Request””, and “Luna Harbours”. The photos were taken in quite quick succession. I attempted to combine the full moon, with the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Luna Park. You might be interested in viewing the other photos because one is in Portrait, two are in Landscape, and this one PANORAMA. It’s amazing how a similar subject can be photographed in slightly different ways, and produce different results. I will interested in knowing which of the four is you favourite !
