I would rather have a donkey that takes me there than a horse that will not fare Portuguese quote Folks, this is Tram 28 in Lisbon. A ride with it is a must do thing! / The ride can be crowded. It is a steep climb but interesting ride through narrow and old streets up to the top of the hill crowned by the St. George castle. The hill is made easy by Tram #28. Have a nice view over the town, check out the St. George castle, and then walk down and enjoy some other sights on the way down like the old Se (Cathedral) that looks like a fortress near the bottom. Then it’s only a short walk to the center of town. You have to mingle with real Portuguese people, but don’t you dare miss it. / One ride and you’ll have a magical memory to take away with you. The tram is a Melbourne icon, and the classic W class models, (still in use on the free city circle service) stick most in people’s minds. This one, in heritage colours is just a little reminder of home.
