This is a shot of the Terminus at Ryde Pier Head. I’m quite fond of this one, I must admit. The title is taken from the album “Axe Victim” by Be Bop Deluxe
Train ride from Arequipa to Puno, Peru, South America
This another shot from Cable Beach. I couldn’t decide whether I liked this better with the more vivid colour or the shot of the whole train. Can you help?
Well Kellie, you’re right. Creating silhouettes / are NOT as easy as they look! I won’t be doing / it often, that’s for sure..heh. But I can’t thank / you enough for inspiring me to try. I wish I could / say there was some deep, meaningful reason for the / title, but in truth, I had absolutely no idea what / to call it and it’s the first thing that popped into / my head! I wanted to make you something, since you’re / so busy making stuff for everyone else. You are very / appreciated!! “A person needs new experiences. They jar something deep inside, allowing him to grow. Without change, something inside us sleeps, and seldom awakens. The sleeper must awaken.” / Dune / Tokyo.2007
Saw these 2 people walking to the train, holding hands and smiling at each other… I knew 1 person was going to be left behind on the platform… / Candid Photography

This is the painting I’ve been working on for the last month. Normally it doesn’t take me as long to get one done but this challenged me for some reason. I think because it’s not something I’ve ever done before. I know it’s not perfect so please don’t point out whats wrong with it. As much time as I spent on it I might throw myself on the floor and cry if you do. Original photo was B/W which has been colourized and a few extras thrown in, No 2 of 3 original photo below.

I have to give credit to my wife for spotting this out her side of the truck window. This is out on the eastern plains of Colorado at night with a full blazing moon. This train has been sitting here for a very long time. We’ve been passing it on our way to Kansas for many years. / EOS 20D 24-105 Long exposer due to low light.
This is the gentle glacier and melt water hills and valleys of Yorkshire outside the village of South Dalton. With the crop safely gathered in, the ghost trails of the plants form the track for the rolling runaway trains of the clouds above. Converted into a black and white pinhole. The lyrics to an old standard country song, written by a guitar picking buddy of mine that I had the pleasure of working with on several occasions, Tom T. Hall. His words came to mind when I took this image and worked on the effects. When the train pulls in the station, / You’ll be waiting at the track. / You’re having troubles sleeping nights / And you want me to come back. / But that old train just rolls on by, / You’ll know I never came / ‘cause I sleep good and I miss a lot of trains I sleep good and I miss a lot of trains. / That one-way track to no man’s love / I’ll never ride again. / I used to lie awake like you / Just calling out your name / But now I sleep good and I miss a lot of trains You’re standing in the station / I can see you in my mind / You think that I’ll forgive again / But you’re so wrong this time / Your sleepless eyes and selfish heart / Will be waiting there in vain / While I sleep good and I miss a lot of trains
