This shot is a composite of 45 one minute images taken at Sheeps Tor on Dartmoor. The light on Sheeps Tor itself is from the full moon just out of shot to the right.

Getting to know the stars is an important part of landscape photography. Using a compass and G.P.S I was able to pinpoint the South Celestial Star. Because of the rotation of the earth, using a six hour exposure gives the feeling of the stars trailing around this point. I used a 5 million candle power flashlight to illuminate the sand dune. Because of the massive size of the dune I had to climb an adjacent dune and paint the light on from there. Taken in a very narrow alley located in brisbane, this shot was a spur of the moment shot with Matthew risking gettng burnt by the spaklers to trace his shape. I think it works rather well :)

After viewing the display of Juanita (a mummified child sacrifice discovered in the crater of a volcano) at Arequipa’s Museo Santury, I found these steps just off the main courtyard. The museo is housed in an old colonial building in the central region near the plaza de armas, in Arequipa, Perú.

Sedona, Az. This is one of many beautiful views from Airport Loop Trail. Sedona has over a hundred trails that range from very easy to very hard. This was a moderate trail that was a great scenic hike as it circles the mesa and gives you open views.
