Meldon Quarry, on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park, Devon, UK Taken from close to the parking area at Meldon, this is a January view of South Down, near Okehampton, on an extraordinarily clear day. Ever felt the heavy heart of saying goodbye? In love, in life, in death. Family, lovers, friends. An empty track and sad, sad heart. Whiteman Park, Swan Valley, Perth. When I found this little station, I found myself thinking of the work of two photographers: Don, an awesome photographer who loves trains! He does wonderful landscapes and other great work. He’s given me so much help over the past few years – a generous soul with a great eye for photography. Paul Louis Villani also leapt into my head. He has some incredible images of trains and train stations. While I wouldn’t even attempt to immitate his style, his work gives me so much inspiration, and got me thinking about how I would like to present this scene. My fav image of his is Still standing For enquires about canvas prints, or photographic prints larger than Redbubble options, please contact me via bubblemail
