  • This Toyota concept vehicle was on display at the 2008 Melbourne International Motorshow. I went crazy with a flood filter and got rid of the people standing around it to create this image. The car is called the FT-H5 and is a hybrid electric concept, the car was also on display at the Chicago motorshow. Click here for my other photos of cars!

Sales 1 Matted Print Featured in the Transport group on the 15th of April 2009 On Saturday the 7th of February my family lost our home away from home at Marysville, as well as our two Rhodesian Ridgebacks and our Abyssinian cat. My condolences go to anyone who also lost family, friends or property on this terrible weekend, and I know deep down that Marysville will be back and better than ever, in the near future… Click here for my other photos of cars! • Yay, proportions, ratios and lots of other Da Vinci flavoured words. It’s a very neatly designed car, if you think about it.

  • My wife drove, I stabilized the tripod and my 5 year old son pushed the cable release button. A family effort. Camera: Canon EOS 40D / Exposure: 1.6 / Aperture: f/7.1 / Focal Length: 11 mm / ISO Speed: 100 Straight from the camera with no editing.

  • Welcome to the planet Nagoya!! / Now we are on the side where I used to live and work for about three and half years :-)) For those who is wondering what “TTI” stands for: “Toyota Technological Institute”. A little bit about how it was done. Using Nikon D80 with 18-200mm VR Nikkor lense I first took 23 NEF (RAW) files, then processed them with CaptureNX to make several different exposures. After that with the help of PTGui created a normal 360° panoramic image. With a simple trick I could use absolutely same control points and alignment parameters for all exposure sets of images, so final panoramas were almost 100% same. In order to avoid some tonal or contrast mismatches at the opposite edges of panorama as a result of HDR processing, I first created “planetoid” images with different exposures. And making the HDR and ToneMapping by Photomatix was a final step. / Final touch was done in CaptureNX as it has a unique tool called “control points” (it saves a lot of time), and also it allows saving the modified image in NEF format preserving all the workflow so that later you can open it again and modify some control points or other settings.

  • This is me rollin’ in my wife’s minivan, Just buying some gas that is all… Flash popped to my face @ 1/64 by off camera shoe cord. Camera: Canon EOS 40D / Exposure: 4 / Aperture: f/8.0 / Focal Length: 11 mm / ISO Speed: 100

  • Just getting some gas…. This shot is straight from the camera and this is the original jpg. I took a similar shot a week ago but knew I could do better. This is my second attempt at the technique. I improved the white balance so the flash to my face was the same WB as the light trails. I also went for a more traditional composition with the positioning of my reflected face. This was the second time to mount my camera on the outside of my car. I am slowly gaining confidence in the DIY car mount I built. Camera: Canon EOS 40D / Exposure: 4 / Aperture: f/10.0 / Focal Length: 11 mm / ISO Speed: 100

  • Andy Warhol style retro car print, photoshopped from a photo of what i’ve been assured is a very cool old Toyota (even if I can’t see it and the guy who told me might be a teesy bit biased!)
