  • These tourists were spotted (very!) deliberating over their map in Hyde Park (London). While they will never find themselves lost, they are very reminiscent of a bowl of the good old stuff!

  • A series of t-shirts with images from Melbourne, Australia. Great for tourists, or just anyone proud of their city. This one features the cone at Melbourne Central, a golden landscape of the sun reflecting off the city on the hoizon (from Williamstown), and the city Museum in Spring street, at the top of Collins Street.   • Taken at Rottrest Island – Western Australia. This pelican was airing his wings standing on a post like the one in the image. Was lucky enough to be in position after almost running 200m to reach the spot where his enormous span could be seen. On cue he took off and this is the result.

  • This 200 metre long twin bridge, spanning the Moorabool River at Fyansford, as part of the ‘Geelong Ring Road’. When completed, the Geelong Ring Road will be a freeway-standard road extending 23 kilometres along Geelong’s western outskirts from the Princes Freeway at Corio to Princes Highway at Waurn Ponds. This section is due for completion in the next few days. The Geelong Advertiser, the local paper, is running a competition to name the, as yet,unnamed bridge. / The bridge and the section of road were officially opened on the 14 Dec. 2008 and the bridge was named The Lewis Bandt Bridge after the man who designed the original “ute” or utility car in 1932, while working for the Ford Motor Co. in Geelong Pentax istDS Camera.

  • This old horse drawn timber tram above Triplet Falls, still stands on the site of / Knotts No 1 Mill / The area surrounding Triplet Falls was once / home to Knotts No 1 sawmill. This mill was one / of the largest of the many timber mills that began / operation after the Colac-Beech Forest-Crowes / railway opened up the rugged and remote west / Otways in 1902. / The mill started in 1908 and was operated from / 1909, by a Melbourne timber merchant, G.W. / Knott. He sold it to the War Service Homes / Commission in 1920. / The mill processed over 3,600 tons of Mountain / Ash per year producing timber for the homes of / servicemen returning from World War One. / Now that the forest has reclaimed the site it is / hard to imagine the industry that was sustained / here for more than 20 years.   • This Koala had obviously had enough traveling, so decided to stop and sit in the middle of the road to Lake Elizabeth, in the Great Otway National Park. Fortunately it is not a very busy road and It did move on eventually.
