This is Toorongo River in the Yarra Ranges National Park, Victoria. I was in this spot just last week, and though it was a lovely river then, since the rains during the week it has become a wild flow!

This section of the river is just up stream from the bridge. Wading up its length, around the deep spots, (I didn’t want to do a Lindsay, and go down as I was on my own), I worked to as far as i could safely go, as it was running a bit faster than usual. When the summer comes, it will be well worth the wade further as it looks very promising, although the cool weather has kept the leeches away. / Hope you enjoy.

Visited Toorongo Falls first then Amphitheatre Falls before heading further upstream until we came to this spot where the river simply disappeared under these rocks. Cool temperate rainforest – West Gippsland. A gorgeous little spot on the upper Toorongo river.
