i saw the idea i had to make one my self / original idea by Jeremy Treece
I left the rough pencil texture lines from this scanned sketch, copied and flipped the design and added some legs. I thought that an ant jester might be having a little fun scaring his jungle mates :)
It’s really gonna hurt! I’m just kidding. I would never punch you in the face.

With Earth as the leader, the planets of the Solar System have turned against poor Pluto excluding him from their group of planets. He is now demoted to a dwarf planet. This contemporary themed image is build upon events in which Pluto was degraded and reclassified to a dwarf planet. It is now no longer part of the classic line of planets in our Solar System as I’ve been used to. It’s strange when you’ve been able to memorize the planets ever since you were a kid and for the future will have to leave this little icy rock out. I liked doing a smaller and less extensive project for a change. I had this simple idea, and worked on/off for about a week before completing this. I had great fun stuffing as many little funny details into the image as I could, and I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed making it! Visit MathiasPedersen.com to see more of my artwork.
A carrot invaded my thought bubble… In need of motivation, a cartoon donkey licks his lips at the prospect of an oblong vegetable of orange colour.

Taxi’s (horse carriages) waiting for fares. The castle (1080) and Blackgate tower (1247), in Newcastle upon Tyne. St Nicholas Street. Looking south, to the mouth of the High Level bridge. Painted from a photo, taken in 1901. HB pencil and Watercolour, on 10” x7” Bockingford, tinted eggshell, 140lb.
This is one of my best illustrations I did back in 2006 and was finally done in Feb/March of 2007, while I used to live in Anderson, Indiana. This piece here was one of my given framed artworks I donated to Sears, about a total of 10 pieces were all donated in side the employee break room area. Almost half of the staff have seen me on the newspapers and I was known. Also I give a few signed copies to a pregant co-worker at Subways at Super Walmart and to a teacher at the Anderson Library. Would you believe someone also stolen this piece too… I’m telling you man.. the stuff people do, lol!! But anyway, this one here I wanted something different having a character with a fractal design instead of the same ol..same ol.. same ol… fractals design alone… boring!!! Oh well.. enjoy!! A palette knife and sepia version of my Newcastle watercolour painting. Taxi’s (horse carriages) waiting for fares. The castle (1080) and Black Gate tower (1247), in Newcastle upon Tyne. St Nicholas Street. Looking south, to the mouth of the High Level bridge. Painted from a photo, taken in 1901. HB pencil and Watercolour, on 10” x7” Bockingford, tinted eggshell, 140lb.
An uncharacteristically normal shot for me, not a bit of peeling paint or broken window in sight! Taken on a recent wander along the river, this is Newcastle / Gateshead’s Millennium Bridge, known locally to a lot as the blinking eye bridge. The entire structure rotates through 40 degrees when pushed by the three hydraulic rams at each edge, lifting the coloured archway you see here and the walkway slung from it high into the air to allow ships to pass underneath.
Another non-dereliction picture from me, dont worry, normal service will be resumed soon :P A picture of arguably the three most famous bridges that span the tyne, namely the Swing Bridge, Tyne Bridge and the Millennium Bridge, from front to back. Also on the right can be seen the top of the Sage, Gateshead, a world renowned concert hall and the Baltic Contemporary Art Gallery can be seen above the centre of the Swing Bridge.

For those of you who know and ran home back in the days of classic cartoons from 4pm 4:30pm GI JOE,Transformers, He-Man, and Thundercats. Here’s a fan art illustration more focused on the movie version. I have no clue if this character is in the movie, or not but I just wanted to share it with all of you.

I think ever since him and I met and started talking, I always thought to myself either “Dude, this guy would be an awesome dad” or “I want to be like him when I grow up.” He’s got a good heart, and the Universe often seems to just be after him… and that sucks. Tryin to keep a brotha DOWN! But yes. I’d have his back if he needed help, cause a big guy with a big heart who gets flooded with a ton of crap, needs a break every now and again with the help of his friends. More recently, he’s done something that really only further inspired me, and amplified my want to do this picture, as it felt so appropriate. Belic has amazing stregnth and determination when it comes to helping others, who’s not afraid to be himself or do what he thinks is right no matter how hard it is for him. Ya sounds a little cheesy, but ya know what? I more than respect that about him, I frickn love that about him. I look up to him in that aspect. :) I’ve had this idea stuck in my head for months, of Belic about to beat the shit out of a great white shark with dynamite and a pic axe. It’s a metaphor, to where the pic-axe represents effort, and the shark represents troubles. The dynamite doesn’t represent anything, it’s just dynamite to blow shit up. Pushed this thing out as soon as my schedule freed up, and got it done pretty quick. I experimented with a few things here, like the style for one. It’s a bit on the comic/illustrative side with some exaggerated lines. I was going for a little bit of dynamics and I tried to limit my colors, and I was also trying to work within a perfect-square composition. This entire style was inspired by an awesome artist, named Jared Moratis (Pop Monkey)... It’s very ‘skater-ish’ with the almost obnoxiously saturated colors and outlines. Love the style. Artfulreggie and IG_Kirk helped me out with this one with brainstorming. :)
