In the moment his hand closed around his weapon, / His mind readied itself for the battle. / Man against the machine.
Wear the grudge like a crown / Desperate to control / Unable to forgive / And sinking / Deeper

I live in Lancashire. My town was built in the mid 19th century for the workers of a cotton mill – some of the machinery being steam powered. The Victorian era and Industry are engrained in my heart and in my personality and Steampunk is just a wonderful embodiment of my heritage Texture credits: / http://erosunknown-stock.deviantart.com/art/Black-and-Cream-Paisley-75595472 / http://kseniasara.deviantart.com/art/Sections-Stock-8-80864223 / http://abigelstock.deviantart.com/art/Paper012-80820024 / http://bean-stock.deviantart.com/art/Grainy-1-74550081 / http://dazzle-textures.deviantart.com/art/Destructive-News-67941303 / http://stockgrapher.deviantart.com/art/012-68424243

The word Tube has got a new meaning because of the video channel on the internet. Still artists depend much on the regular tubes… / This tube is a detail taken from one of my desktop paintings. I consider this tee as a perfect contribution to the masterpiece clothing group, its fusion related to making art/images/messages nowadays and during centuries. In my zazzle shop you can find the same design showed on different models, colours and the backside printed with logo and instruction. Plus they print larger and their quality of printing is very good! And some others…
As a once psychology major, I was intrigued by Freud’s theory on the id and ego of the human psyche. It has been many years since those classes so my words may be somewhat off. But this piece is a self representation (aren’t they all?) of myself and how the “id” and “ego” play in our life decisions. We all seek pleasure and that constant feeling of euphoria, and our “id”’s only goal is to achieve those feelings without worry or care about the consequences of such actions. It is our “ego” that keeps the “id” in line, allowing us to think before we act, and to be able to foresee what may come of this pleasure seeking. It is a constant battle that wages on beneath our skin and sometimes the “id” overcomes. Some choose to live only by the “id”s bidding and never realize the destruction they leave behind when seeking their pleasures. I have been through that lifestyle once, and as much as I enjoyed such pleasures in bountiful amounts….the aftershock of those actions can still be felt today.

I measure every Grief I meet / With narrow, probing, Eyes.. / I wonder if it weighs like Mine / Or has an Easier size. I wonder if They bore it long / Or did it just begin / I could not tell the Date of Mine / It feels so old a pain I wonder if it hurts to live / And if They have to try / And whether..could They choose between / It would not be..to die I note that Some, gone patient long, / At length, renew their smile.. / An imitation of a Light / That has so little Oil I wonder if when Years have piled / Some Thousands on the Harm / That hurt them early..such a lapse / Could give them any Balm Or would they go on aching still / Through Centuries of Nerve / Enlightened to a larger Pain / In Contrast with the Love The Grieved are many…I am told. / There is the various Cause.. / Death is but one..and comes but once / And only nails the eyes There’s Grief of Want..and grief of Cold.. / A sort they call “Despair” / There’s Banishment from native Eyes / In Sight of Native Air And though I may not guess the kind. / Correctly..yet to me / A piercing Comfort it affords / In passing Calvary. To note the fashions…of the Cross, / And how they’re mostly worn… / Still fascinated to presume / That Some, are like My Own.Emily Dickinson / / 12×14 is a bit of an anomaly for me, and is the beginning of a new journey….painted in watercolour on Arches Rough Paper it is also part of the Abstract Collection and the Tools Series…...the title refers to numbers and shapes and lengths, a carpenter, tools, math, metaphor, humanity, stories….. / There are so many layers to the painting…as part of the tool series, it is a picture of nails, but once you get past that, it turns into something else…the pain of piercing grief, the ties to Christianity, death and eyes nailed shut, the number of triangles which seem to go on to infinity, three points, the measurement of time, the measurement of the nails themselves…the structure that they make which is somewhat like a house…the sharp points etc..etc..and the background which though it seems like a landscape, is also reminiscent of the nails… the poem says so much too…. I hope it helps to get a deeper understanding of the painting /

“There are two ways of spreading the LIGHT… / to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it.” Edith Wharton The above saying has been a ‘mantra’ of mine for quite some time, however today as I was playing with this heARTwork, a burst of energetic LIGHT sparked beneath my feet, lighting me like a Christmas tree, up the chakra channels until I could no longer sit still. Stepping outside, with camera in tow, the most ethereal skyline I have ever seen… If we are to transform the world, we must first transform ourselves… With this insight, my intentions are to provide a melody of opportunities, tools and experiences to assist those seeking the ‘CHANGE’... Change the World
Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone, / Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone, / Silence the pianos and with muffled drum / Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come. Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead / Scribbling on the sky the message He Is Dead, / Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves, / Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves. He was my North, my South, my East and West, / My working week and my Sunday rest, / My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song; / I thought that love would last for ever:...I was wrong. The stars are not wanted now: put out every one; / Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun; / Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood. / For nothing now can ever come to any good. Auden “Door #9” evokes one of my most favourite of Auden poems…full of the passionate cri de coeur of a lover who has lost his/her love and speaks in the throes of overwhelming grief and despair….it is agonizing to read…the lover is gone…death? maybe not …just not here…no not here.... / I think many of us can identify with the powerful imagery in Audens verse…the cry in the last line resounds…it is a bitter cry straight from the heart Watercolour on Saunders Waterford Rough Paper.. / The lock in the middle of the wood panel symbolizes more than just a door that has been closed for long time..it is the end of something and there is no going back…the lock is rusted and there is no longer an opening. / “Nine is a very significant number, and references to it occurs in mythology, the occult, the Bible, to name a few, and in mathematical science it possesses properties and powers which are found in no other number….it is the number of finality or judgement”....from my painting 9 / The Key / The Red Doorknob / Door #6 / Door#5 / Door #4 / Door#3 / Door #2 / Door #1
