My favorite shot, I caught this rainbow landing on a granddaddy Saguaro in Tonto National Forest near Box Bar Ranch just west of the Verde River.

How could you not shoot such a beautiful sunrise? This Granddaddy Saguaro is just a short walk from my house near Scottsdale Arizona in the Tonto National Forest. The photo was shot a few years ago and the Saguaro has since begun to lean. I’m afraid he won’t make it much longer.

Looking out toward Weavers Needle these stay close as they bask in the Arizona sunlight. A slight blur in the foreground focuses the viewer to Weavers Needle and the Superstition Mountains in the distance.
