Medium Pencil drawing on A1 size Kent cartridge paper. Art & Design theme Extension of the Senses of Man (Woman) / Always had a passion for direct observational drawing/painting from life/nature, especially to observe and study the human figure/form/anatomy. / The skin is our largest sensory organ and requires the extension of clothing for its protection against the environmental elements. Thinly draped clothing veiled over the human form provides ample study of soft falling movements along body lines, flowing shapes & patterns etc. I wanted to explore the human form/skin/clothing outdoors in the natural environment as apposed to life models posing in a protective drawing room set-up that I had been so far exposed to. / / Process: / Stage 1) Exploring the extension of the senses by exposing the human form/skin/clothing to the natural physical elements of water, air and earth/sand at a public beach landscape and documenting this through the photographic medium. Two fellow art students modelled for me in loose light negligee clothing. Stage 2) From there I developed a B&W photographic series learning several darkroom manipulation techniques in the process. Stage 3) From the resultant photographic imagery (on the human structure, female shapes and forms, skin & cloth exposured to the natural elements of water, wind/air, earth/sand/rock in the landscape) I further explore and study the inherent structure and ‘dynamics’ of several images and produce several drawings. / / I think my two fellow art student models totally enjoyed the creative photographic documentation experience, even though they got cold, wet and buried in sand, and I, the photographer stayed dry!
Straight out of an imagined land, this image was captured inside a 3D landscape I hand-created from mesh inside one of the first versions of Bryce. This is the second rendering of the file, the first belonging to my husband which he used and still uses to inspire him in his tonal symphonic creations. Archival quality, acid free giclee prints, hand-signed and personalized, are available by contacting the artist. Sizes: Available in a variety of custom sizes relative to the image ratio. Well this is my favorite photograph (converted to black & white) taken at the holy beach of somnath,Gujrat in India. Very early morning I was taking the photograph of sea & fortunately I caught a gentleman praying to sea & sun. That person really added life to this photograph.

Oils on Canvas- 24×36” / OMG it’s not a Nude!! yes it does happen.. there’s a tiny portrait in the middle of the eye- about the size of a 10cent piece.
This piece has a lot of meaning for me….it came from a dark place but brightened my mood. It seemed to paint itself with me as spectator.
Oils on Canvas – 24”x 36” / One of my most popular nudes, I keep trying to capture the same 3d quality and keep failing – this was a piece I hated until I finished it and then fell in love with. For Sale at boundless gallery
mixed media – hexagon, six pointed star important as lovers is 6th card in tarot. note the male-ish figure between the two faces as a man is stuck at a crossroads as traditionally portrayed in tarot. he carries a burden and a gem on his back – any situation can hold this gemstone – not just the ones society deems fit. to understand death is to understand life – again, that’s why the merkabah vehicle (6-ponted star) is important here … the “resurrection before death” so to speak that so many religions and cultures of the world point towards as being so important to realise…. – so the lover can then be mature in outlook and his practice of sensuality and world bridging in this wee cosmos….

This work is part of my current series “Entanglement”. It looks like my drawing may be exploring the psychological side of the theme. Time will tell. My mum won the doll 50 years ago. It was the embodiment of every little girl’s dream and I could always ensure social success by bringing it out to play. It is a charcoal drawing
This looked more like leaves… but it was a strange little flower thingy…lol . Thank you for the comments and Favs!!

Drawn in a life drawing class in 2002.
The Original piece from this image is a CHALK PASTEL drawing on cartridge paper of a section of old masonry showing column with decorative carvings, plinth and stone wall. / I made the original piece when I was 18 years old. / Recently, I decided to bring it into Photoshop and I made a mirror repeat pattern from the original which now becomes an interesting piece of textures and tonal greys.
