from a 4 month old fraternal twin session… honestly, I couldn’t believe we got them to BOTH sleep… I had them sitting in a large galvanized tin propped up… this was just a close up I couldn’t resist with new sony alpha a900 and my 50mm f/1.4 ;-)

corner of mission and 2nd street, san francisco, holga madness. / kodak tri-x turns out this is just up the road from the new RB office, but I didn’t know that when I took it. (having only been to the US thrice i still find steam rising from the vents in the street most evocative, the locals probably find it annoying)

A compilation of my familiar egrets pasted in Photoshop against kind of an angry “fraced” sky, with water added using Flood. In this one I did the egrets reflection in a separate image in Photshop, to see how that would work out. I like the results. The sky was an actual photo that I used Fractilious software to enhance. This is for my Mum. She is a twin, but her sister lives in England, while Mum lives in Tasmania, half a world away. They have such a bond, that I believe transcends the physical. This photo reminds me of how they feel about each other, always together even though they are physically apart. This is a compilation of three of my images, the stairs from Venice, the two little girls from a family wedding, part of the trees from spring mist, plus textures overlayed and various brushes. Burning and dodging as the final action to give some depth.
Inspired by NIN, originally a mock NIN gig poster, but with the logos and text removed. Medium: Indian ink + Photoshop CS2
Hate can be shown in various ways and do so all the time. The only way we can stop all the hatred going on I think is to show/help people to be more open minded. Nowdays nothing is longer “new” so the only reason alone why people still has to be such ignorant fools is that they don’t know any better. / This is my take on one way hatred often is shown, on somebody different. To be different suppose to be a good thing. To stand out from the “normal” crowd and mainstream living. Yet so many people is neglected and looked down upon by the very same reason. / To stand out is to be strong. To dare go against the modern society we have today and pursuit his/her way of living. This can be many many ways, gender, skin color, sexuality, dressing, talking etc etc, the list can be made into all eternity. It’s scary how many people still that lacks tolerance and respect/understanding towards new things. / I wonder when the rest of the world is going to have an open mind, if ever… Canon EOS 400D / Sigma 17-70 / F2.8-4.5 / ISO 100 / f/4.5 / 1/4 s / 33mm CS4 for vignetting & levels More works can be found over at DeviantART / and / rdblanche.com
Featured In: / -Layered With Texture I bought these tulips with the intention of doing a still life but once I set everything up I was fascinated by the variations in the petals. So instead of the set up I had planned I pulled out a different lens (macro) and decided to just photograph the flowers themselves. There’s something so cheery about tulips in the house while there’s snow outside….they’re a wonderful reminder that spring will be here soon. HollyCawfieldPhotography
