This is my brother Todd and a friend on the Bay Shores Beach many years ago.

This is a cement tube under the Mt. Baldy Dam. In the 1970’s when this was taken this place was hard to get to and in without being busted. But get in we did… That is my brother Todd on the wall, a natural skate boarder from the start.

Back in the day me and my brother would ride our skateboards to some hill and ride down them. Pretty basic stuff, and it almost isn’t done any more in this simple way. Just the same fear played a factor in these little boy games, as you usually reached a speed that exceeded your ability to run it out if you chickened out! High speed wobble mean anything to anybody here?

My second conception, first one being Todd of which I am so proud I could burst, I then taught myself darkroom development all be it in a beginners form …. to see the image develope in the tray was magical, Kitchen blacked out like in bombing raids of WW2 lol

Scanned from a self developed B&W neg. There is a similar one in my portraits, that one with an impish grin and was scanned from a photo, probably badly developed by me, this has more clarity & tone, I like it much more. Thank you for looking

/ The Schooner Margaret Todd replaces her predecessor the Natalie Todd, which sailed from Bar Harbor for so many years. This unique 151’ four-masted schooner was conceived and designed by her owner, Captain Steven Pagels. Named after Capt. Pagels’ grandmother, the Margaret Todd was built over a two year period by the Schreiber Boatyard in St. Augustine, Florida, and was launched on April 11, 1998. / topmasts, gaffs and booms are made of native Maine spruce by Elk Spars of Bar Harbor. Almost all the woodwork was custom made in Southwest Harbor, Maine. Her windlass, which is used to hoist the anchor, comes from a Delaware Bay oyster schooner, and the standing rigging was made by the Hamilton Seine Loft. The four masted schooner rig, steel hull construction, and double centerboard design make the Margaret Todd unique on the east coast. The Margaret Todd carries nine sails on her four masts. The large sails are called, from front to back, the foresail, mainsail, mizzensail, and spankersail. (These sails are named after the mast which carries it). The five smaller sails are the jib topsail, inner and outer jibs, staysail and the spanker topsail. In the spring of 2003, Captain Ed Zimmerman rigged up ratlines for the Margaret Todd. These rigging ladders enable the crew to climb aloft without using a Bosun’s chair. Some say he was a historical person who lived in London in the 19th century. Others claim he was just the fictional character who first appeared in The String of Pearls, a penny part serial published somewhere around 1846-1847. / He was a barber who returned illegaly to England after he’d been deported on a trumped-up charge by a judge who wanted to steal his beautiful wife. With the assistance of his partner in crime, Mrs Lovett, he sets up a new life under a new name, he is now called Sweeney Todd. His razors are his weapon of choice, as he murders his wealthy customers by slitting their throats, then pulling a lever while they are in his barber’s chair which, unknown to them, is fixed to a revolving trap-door, making them fall backward into the basement. Then Mrs Lovett takes over by turning the dead bodies into meat pies and selling them to the unsuspecting customers of her pie shop.
