  • This old fob watch belonged to my grandfather, James Carter, and fascinated me as a child – I have inherited it and still love to take it out and hold it – very special! James Carter came to Australia in about 1890 and settled initially in the Manning River area of NSW – he married a local lass (my grandmother) who lived on Dumaresq Island near Taree and descended from John Newby, a pioneer of the region. In later life James served a term as Mayor of Richmond NSW before running a guest house on Kurrajong Heights NSW. Great history and wonderful memories keep flooding back with this fob watch. ALSO AVAILABLE IN OTHER STYLES – ANOTHER POPULAR ONE BEING A GIFT CARD …

  • ©2007-2008 Aimee Stewart, Foxfires – please see my CC Terms of Use before considering using this image for any personal or commercial use http://foxfires.deviantart.com/journal/15905899/ / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- There are so many familiar sayings out there about ‘Time’ as we know it. Time heals all wounds. Time flies when you’re having fun. Time stands still. Time waits for no one. If I could turn back the hands of Time. Frozen in Time. Timeless…. you get the idea. Well, I wanted to create a series that perhaps captured the essence of these things, in relation to human emotion. And so my Time series was born. I know in my heart what each of them means, but I did not name them anything specific, so that the viewer could make up their own mind as to the meaning of each piece. I think that is something unique to every individual. So…my heartfelt thanks for continuing to watch and support my artistic endeavors. It feeds the fire that burns and inspires. / Aimee

  • This drawing is about faces in a crowd…stopped at an intersection perhaps, waiting to cross the road. She glances over her shoulder at you. A momentary glimpse of recognition passes between two strangers.A connection felt….was it just imagination, or…..? The lights have changed. Everyone’s moving again. The bubble is broken…..she means nothing to you or you to her. Life goes on. currently listening to: kim carnes – mistaken identity medium: charcoal and pastel on 185gsm Arches paper size: 42cm x 59.4cm (A2) click here to see my current eBay listings

  • Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. I’ll be leaving this dusty place that I have called home for the past 7.5 years in a couple of weeks… starting a new job a hop, skip and a plane ride away in the coastal town of Jeddah. Plenty of new photo oportunities await, but in between my packing I still had time to capture a last race here in Riyadh Picture taken at the start of the 25 mile Time Trial, last race of the Riyadh Wheelers 2008 / 09 Season. / 10th April, 2009 He Waits That’s What He Does Tick Followed Tock… Followed Tick

  • This is a necklace from topshop, i saw it hanging from my jewelry stand, and how it caught the light, and created fantastic shadows so i had to capture it. This was taken on my old digital camera, i am quite surprised at the powerful image i got from the digital camera.
