Last upload for a few days..I’m off to Sydney to see what I can find to shoot in IR. Camera: Canon EOS 450D also known as Digital Rebel XSi ISO 400 / f/5.6 / Exposure: 20sec / Focal Length: 18mm Custom White Balance set to green grass on a sunny day Not a RAW file I find Lightroom automatically changes the whitebalance when I load pics into it when they are RAW and channel swapping doesn’t work. So I just shoot in JPG. There’s no change with those. Not sure why that happens. R72 filter KOOD / Tripod Weather: Nice and sunny with hardly any wind about. Channel swapped in Paintshop Pro 7 (Change the red source channel to 0%, green 0% and blue 100%. without leaving, change the output channel to blue and set the red to 100% blue and green to 0%) and played with in The Lightroom until I got it to look like this.

Couldn’t get the blue as bright as in Sea Chant ot Blue Jetty , but I think it’s still a nice blue. / These were taken at Belmont, Newcastle, NSW, Australia. / It was a really bright and rather warm day – hence I had a bit of trouble with the white balance – that’s why the blue is not as bright.

Late afternoon on the foreshore at Valentine NSW Australia. The yachts are all home and tucked away securely, their captains and crew have rowed home and tucked their trusty tinnies on the shore to await another day of adventure on the beautiful waters of Lake Macquarie. /

This mono fisherman and his seadog in his little “tinny” were setting out for some night fishing when I photographed them from the south bank of the Hastings River in Port Macquarie, Australia, just on sunset on a winter day with my trusty old Fuji S5500 exactly two years ago. The reason I held on to it until now was that no matter how I processed the original colour image or what black and white conversion I appied, it just didn’t work for me. So when I obtained Lightroom and Photoshop CS3, I gave it another go and really like the result. Fuji S5500: f/4 @ 1/400sec, hand held gave me the shot. Enjoy! FISHIN’ / (Click the links!)
