  • The Wizard of Oz was the kind of story that has stirred the imagination for over a 100 years now. It was written in 1900 and made into a movie in 1939. I like each of the characters, but always felt sorry for the Tinman. He wanted a heart. He wanted to feel loved and to give love. But how did he feel before he found he had a heart after all? Lonely? Empty? Lost? Just thinking again. :o) Let’s pay homage to a great story that has stirred the imagination so well. Created in Incendia using a background of my own from my photography and some work in Photoshop. Featured in: / Style! Class! Elegance! • Taken at Oz Park in Chicago, Illinois.

  • A drawing I did in markers, of the selfish old apple tree in the fairytale, “The Wizard of Oz”. Done on heavy posterboard.

  • My “alternative art” version of the Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz, he’s just claimed his 14th winged monkey heart. If I can be bothered I might do the rest of them, I think Scarecrow would be an awesome one to do, or the lion. As for Dorothy… she could become a sexy femme fatal.

  • another gothology page… this time featuring the wizard of OZ spicified. It’s not very goth but it still has my usual goth elements and themes. / I’ve been listening to a lot of caravan palace lately so i was real inspired by that 20’s flapper vibe.

  • A Top The Sheet Metal Shop, that is one of my favorite land marks in Waverley, Nova Scotia.

  • Photoshop / low key / abstract

  • The Wizard of Oz was a set of stories that has stirred the imagination for over a 100 years now. I like each of the characters, but always felt sorry for the Tinman. He wanted a heart. He wanted to feel loved and to give love. But how did he feel before he found he had a heart after all? Lonely? Empty? Lost? I created the Solitary Tinman originally from a fractal done in Incendia. As some of you who know me have noticed, I cannot stop tinkering. I kept looking and thought… how would Van Gogh have seen this image? Thus, began the Tinman’s newest journey. I started my journey many years ago wanting to be like Leonardo da Vinci. Then it was Charles M. Russel. Later, it was Monet and Van Gogh. I used to practice for hours to see if I could copy their techcniques. I transferred my past knowledge to Photoshop and got to work. I hope you enjoy the two images done as an experiment and a tribute to the Wizard of Oz stories and Van Gogh.
