“Sparking a Tinderbox” – my submission for the Infinite Future Chaos Photoshop Creative competition. The world’s swelling populations, the anonymity of individuals lost within this impersonal sea, a confluence of differing ideas and beliefs…a tinderbox to the next Big Bang.
Regrowth after Bushfires in Australian Snowy Mountains
My local beach. Easter Monday, 2008. The white house at the rear was built in the early nineteenth century and was the residence of Joshua Fergusson, who sailed his ship, the Jupiter, from England in 1815. There is an 1840 painting by Walter Synnot which features this scene in the Allport Library and Museum of Fine Arts.

My home town of Tinderbox, southern Tasmania. It’s not exactly a hive of activity, but Lonely Planet does mention our underwater snorkel trail, and our community regularly gets together at the beach for barbecues. We also have three vineyards, a boat ramp, a beach, and a playground!

Treasure the joyful memories of new love for they will be your saviour when the path becomes obstructed by the vines of time creeping at your ankles.
This one came out of the camera just like this, with the exceptions of cropping and enlarging from Red Bubble. The view is through one circular hole then through two other holes, seeing a park behind the third hole. Get that? :-) Actually I was shooting my guide as she (EBmonster) shot me from the opposite side. I think I got the side with the better light. I_ think I got better of _everything since she was shooting with a (gasp!) Canon and I was shooting with my beloved Nikons. (Canon makes great copiers, printers & FAX machines; Nikon makes great cameras. Hehehe!) Anyway, details to follow cuz this location will give away part of the answer to the quiz on another upload. Details will follow…maybe. If you’re lucky.
The Tinderbox Vineyard at Tinderbox, south of Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. In the early 1800s tobacco was grown here for the early population of Hobart. It is now a vineyard which looks across the channel towards Bruny Island.
