I passed this shed several times each day I was on King Island. As the weather is very variable on the island, I waited until passing one day when the light was just right. No tricky processing here – just basic levels, curves etc.

The before shots – watch this space- our challenge to restore this grand old lady to he original character is being realised. One of the earlier family homes in Pine Mountain Road. Built of Queensland hoop pine (- tin and timber) – stilt type stumps and wrap around verandas for cooling – usually with detached kitchen.

There is a magpie that comes daily to my next door neighbour’s yard and has a bath in a large plastic container which is full of water. She skips around the rim of the drum before she decides to jump in for a quick dip – but only for a second. I have been trying for days to capture the moment – but haven’t been successful yet . . . . but I have lots of patience!
