This is what happens when I get flowers- I smile, take care of them and arrange them, and then I get out my camera to take lots of pictures! I love flowers, especially roses- simple yet complex, delicate, eternal beauties. I tried to show that in this image I created in photoshop, and just looking at it gives me a feeling of serene happiness. Hope you enjoy it too! / / / See other flowers

Lost in the city again, albeit somewhat familiar but David was not sure of what time it was, the lights were on but they were somewhat different from what he thought they should be. Who was that man in the bar? The streets were not paved but covered in a sheet of tar? it was all very confusing. A reflection of actor David Muyllaert in a Dublin City pubs window on Westmoreland Street in 2003.

I have been here and seen the coming of man to my rivers. In my shadows have walked wildlife that no longer walk here. From my lofty peaks you can see for many miles. Once I stood higher than the far western mountains. I may have shifted and changed but I remain. My rivers are cold and my forest cool. From my bowels man has both feed himself and built his shelters. He has raped my slopes for my wood. Fought wars within me. I still survive. Mist still shroud my valleys. Flowers still shine their beauty for all to see. Come walk my paths an fish my streams. Stand on my peaks and walk my valleys. Loose yourself within yourself as your cares fade away when your with me. I am the Great Smoky Mountains, the Great Iron Mountains, Far Blue Mountains, the Sha-cona-ga. Sepia can give photos a timeless quality. This path is far into the forest away from civilization where I have taken many pictures of the miracle of nature’s beauty. I walk with my dogs and feel the serenity of this special place where I lose the sense of time and space that is so necessary in our often too stressful and busy lives. The light at the end of the path suggests entrance into another realm. I want to thank Faithart, a member of RB, a brilliant artist and poet who chose to write a poem to pair with “A Timeless Path.” I would highly recommend viewing her stunning art work. Midst the silence of the forest / I can hear my footsteps / As I go. / Somewhere above a bird is calling. / Walking along the pathway is like a treasure hunt. / Around each corner is a pot of gold. / Out of the light into the shadows and back again. / Measured footsteps matching the rhythm of the soul. / The trees are playful. / Their leaf-laden branches sway in the breeze, / Making geometric patterns with the sunlight. / But summer is retreating. / Soon the leaves that fall in twos and threes today / Will be jostling for a space below. / I must hurry. / I want to arrive before darkness spreads its shroud / And the light at the end of the pathway is quenched. / The end is the beginning. / I shall return. / Faithart /
