A golden beach near Lahaina glowing in the light of the setting sun as a gnarled Banyan Tree appears to reach for drink in the rising tide.

The break in the rainy day at sunset coupled with high tide being driven by the wind created some surging waves for me to use in the foreground and this gnarled limb or stump washed ahore at the right time for me to add it to the composition. Taken at Neptune Beach here in the great state of Washington.

To BEST VIEW this photo select VIEW LARGER option This PHOTO was published in the cover of known MAGAZINE…because of REDBUBBLE exposure It was cold afternoon i parked my vehicle and start walking on the beach…tide was low….it was so beautiful..i was lost in my thoughts not realizing i almost walked 2 miles….and that water was getting higher…..just as i was about to be where i started from i had to go through some water to my knees to get to my vehicle…...just as sun was coming down i cought a glimpse of these beautiful rocks on sun fire..The solitude of the quiet months on the coast bring relaxing stretches of peaceful beaches, untouched tidepools, spectacular sunsets and nights beneath star-strewn skies. Storm watching during winter months captures your breath as crashing waves pound the rocky beaches and send water shooting into the sky…...sitting on the beach and waiting to no endless sunset evening is spectacualar experience…..the coast of Oregon is every photographer dream…..When they say dreamland this sure is one…I take dangerous edges and lenghtly times of waiting to bring out the best of the nature….This is not everyday of the road scene….It takes courage, time and at the time can be very expensive to bring out the best….Enjoy my work once again….and thank you for any coment i might receive on my photography….... / / SINGHRAY FILTER Graduated ND filter 1 F-stop hard grad…. Went out this morning to shoot Mona Vale pool. It was a very high tide (1.7m). Braved the waves to get some interesting shots of the water crashing over the pool. Very little Photoshop on this image (just a few curves and levels), other than that, this was how it came off the camera.

The flow of the tides at Ruby Beach on the Olympic Peninsula. I am still fascinated by the different movements and looks from one spot over time just given the ebb and flow of the waves and water, first coming on one then the other

Some kind of dark stains left on the sand resmble fingers reaching otu from the tide as the sun sets over the beach near San Diego California

Taken at Apollo Bay early in the morning. I haven’t processed this one very much at all. A bit of noise reduction and some levels. It was the most amazingly vivid sunrise I have seen for some time. View more of my seascapes at: Landscapes and Seascapes

This is a photo of the sea barrier at the wharf in St. Phillips, Newfoundland. The salt water from the ocean has rusted the bolts and caused this array of rainbow colors to stain the wood. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / /

I took this shot of a very hazardous stretch of coastline on the very southern tip of Newfoundland just below a lighthouse. The winds were so high that day and the sea was whipped into such a boiling cauldron, my imagination was taken away. As I stood there and watched I could almost visualize a ghost ship emerging from the fog, the lighthouse that stood just above me was blowing its foghorn which added a sense of eerieness to the already somber scene. The winds lashed at me attempting to pluck me into the sea as a offering of peace for disturbing this epic battle between land and sea. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / /

The waves of rising tides overcome the lava rock off the coast of Kihei on Maui, Hawauu, Kahaloowe and Molokini are on the horizon under the storm clouds.

Or maybe just show off!! This is my hubby ‘trying’ his best to do a hand stand at the beach a few days ago! Probably not one of my ‘artistic best’ but nevertheless fun! Enjoy :o)

I took this shot on Bell Island, if you look closely at the base of the cliff you can see a natural tunnel that has been bored through the rock by the water and out to the other side. The bravest and most daring of kayakers venture into these tunnels to explore. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / / /
